Djokovic doesn't deserve to win this match - 29 winners, 39 errors ......blech..........unimpressive and shit
AND gets broken in early in the 5th set after serving first - that's sooooooooooo unlike him.....looking old, weary and tired tbh

Incredible by Alcaraz in the end, after some ups and downs from him through the match. At times really high quality tennis.

Alcaraz is surely the new generation player. If I have to name someone who has really impressive shots, it's Musetti. He surely isn't consistent enough, but he can be magic.

Roller coaster of a match. It wasn't always the highest of quality, but the various momentum shifts and several great points and shots kept things interesting. Alcaraz came out on top quite deservingly, because, after the first set disaster, he raised his level big time and was the more solid of the two. He found Djokovic's weaknesses and took advantage of them. I think he is going to dominate in the years to come. Djokovic finally beaten at Wimbledon after several years, but I don't think he's finished quite yet. I think he can win a couple more slams until his retirement. He is the GOAT after all.

And he's a real Italian too instead of some Austrian cosplaying as one. Anyhoo, Alcaraz was incredible today. Djokovic was all over him in the 1st, bullying his forehand and breaking it down. His forehand recovered in the second. In the third he started junkballing Djokovic and drawing ceaseless errors from him, but Djokovic recovered from that in the 4th. Now it's 2 sets all, and now the kid comes out and hits 18 winners and 5 unforced errors in the fifth set against the 4 time defending champ on the court he hasn't lost on in 10 years like it was nothing. Djokovic, in comparison, had 3 winners and 3 unforced. Unlike the last two finals here he had an opponent who could rally with him off the ground.

ibbiHaving a German sounding surname doesn't mean being Austrian π.Sinner has Italian parents and grandparents. Gassman had an Austrian father and Italian mother, while the Rohrwacher sisters have a German father and Italian mother; they all grew up in Italy and are Italian citizens. I'm halfway the second season of My brilliant friend btw...

You some sort of Tyrolean sympathiser or something My grandfather fought in WWI to get Trentino and Alto Adige free from Austrian domination, surely not to get those people called German or Austrian nowadays! Btw, my surname can sound German to foreigners (but it comes from the ancient Ligurian language).
