Some early fun facts.... 317 films received one or more votes. The most number one votes for any film was only 2, which 5 films received. We ended up with 2 ties in the Top 25, but neither of them are in the Top 10. The 50 - 26 portion has a few more. I won't be breaking the ties. The poll had 8 different leaders, which is 7 more than the Male Actors poll had . As a little teaser, the films which just missed the cut from 60/61 - 51 down are... 60 Cries and Whispers 60 Long Day's Journey Into Night 58 Love, Actually 58 Dog Day Afternoon 57 The Best Years of Our Lives 54 The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring 54 Traffic 54 Seven Samurai 52 Rashomon 52 Dazed and Confused 51 The Lion in Winter

Will the red carpet and the gala still be up even with the COVID-19 scare?

Will the red carpet and the gala still be up even with the COVID-19 scare? Of course. Word on the fashion grapevine is that hazmat suits will be trending.

A few more bits of mildly interesting information before we start...
The most mentioned film appeared on 20 ballots out of 32.
One film made it into the Top 50 based on only 2 ballot appearances.
One film with a #1 placing received no other votes.

I'll be presenting the 50 - 26 results over five posts, then the Top 25 will all have their own posts, although we do have two ties in there unfortunately.
50 - 46 will be up shortly.

Three essential all-timer ensembles! None of 'em in the 50...

Off to a very good start but Long Day's Journey Into Night missing the top 50 hurts because as far as plays into films it may be the best ......even more than Woolf and some others......

"Wouldn't you know, out of gas. [hands her a gas can] I want you to know I'm gonna be waitin' for ya, baby." As far as comedies go, only Mad Mad Mad has a better cast perf.

I love that Murder By Death made it into the top 50. Such a great mystery comedy, and the cast is used perfectly.
