Goodfellas is kind of low to me. Thought it might crack the top five, honestly. Could my dear Magnolia actually make the top ten??

Great choice, in that cut of the movie that I just imagined where Julianne Moore's superfluous scenes are excised.

Never understood the Moore criticisms in this movie. She's every bit as operatic and wild as everyone else. To me she's no more over-the-top than Melora Walters, who most people seem to really like in the film.

The difference is that Walters is actually capable of being operatic and over-the-top without verging into screechy harridan territory.

To me she's no more over-the-top than Melora Walters, who most people seem to really like in the film. Walters yells in one scene where she is directly confronting her father, which makes sense. Moore yells in every scene she is in, and does so seemingly with as much ham as possible.

Glengarry Glen Ross is a masterclass in ensemble acting. It should have been higher.

Glengarry Glen Ross is a masterclass in ensemble acting. It should have been higher. It ended up as a solid result, as it was 22 ballots into the voting before it cracked the Top 25.
