What this means for Ethan Hawke? No Globe an SAG nods.

Regina King's snub is shocking. I think this means the supporting actress' race is settled (for Amy Adams of course). Don't know about that. I can see King still winning BFCA and the Globe, especially if there is enough of an outcry at her SAG snub. That's why I think it comes down to BAFTA (which I think might end up going to Weisz, so who knows?).

Who else hates Laverne Cox? Don’t you have a Jordan Peterson seminar to attend to? What?

Yea Regina King took a massive hit here she’s still likely to be Oscar nominated though. Can Emily Blunt be double nodded? I’d say it’s possible her main rival is Claire Foy who’s very weak. Ethan Hawke will likely replace John David Washington or even Remi Malek. I think this might secure the win for Amy Adams.

King took a massive hit here. Massive. And for Margot Robbie of all people? Huh. I have a feeling whoever wins BAFTA might win the Oscar. McCarthy secures herself nicely. That looks to be our Best Actress lineup, barring any unexpected revelations. Davis is down for the count. BlacKkKlansman is getting these industry boosts. Watch out for it at PGA/DGA. King replaces Blunt's nod for A Quiet Place. Robbie may sneak in for the 5th spot over Foy/Kidman. I still lean Kidman.
Adams looks a lot stronger for the win.

So happy for Amy Adams. She is due for an Oscar and this looks like her best chance to win one.

How does The Favourite miss out on ensemble for Bohemian Rhapsody?
Looks like Malek is secure.

Amy Adams scored 3 nominations in GG (btw, they love her; she's had consecutive wins there) and 2 nominations in SAG. She's so winning. King will still be nominated though. I don't see how she could miss a nomination.

Those embarrassing best ensemble nominations are either proof the this year is a joke, or that the SAG has indeed become the new Oscars of middle brow consensus ............or.............both those things.

like I said yesterday, the movie has made $600 mil dollars, that's a lot for a biopic.

I don't see how she could miss a nomination. People were saying the case was rested in 2012 when Waltz missed SAG (yes, due to screener issues, but still) and were calling the race for Jones. Could be the same issue afflicting If Beale Street Could Talk, as it was completely shut out and comes from a floundering studio. Vice at least has the A-lister recognition that got people to go out and see it for Annapurna. SAG is a crucial award, but Adams hasn't won it yet and there's still a good amount of race to be run.

Waltz had Weinstein back before the scandals. King is sharing a campaign a broke as hell distributor with Adams.

*Rachel Weisz Rachel Weisz is splitting votes with Emma Stone. Adams is the new favourite.... I really didn't mean that as a pun.
