Looking at this list just reminds me of all the great performances that he directed that weren't nominated. It's hard to believe that Jimmy Stewart wasn't nominated for anything! I know Vertigo was a flop at the time, but still what a shame.

Was all set up to vote for Kim Novak in Vertigo and Perkins in Psycho and then was like "oh wait". Looked up the Vertigo Oscar nods because I couldn't believe it.
Voted for Oliver and Anderson in Rebecca.

Those options are...disappointing.
Hitch directed many superior performances than those listed. I guess Joan Fontaine in Rebecca from those listed. But whatever.
