Great work and excellent presentation, Sharbs ! Mostly good results (could have done without the operating system fucker movie in the top 15 though)... and interesting to see what exactly people consider a romance. Vertigo is probably the best film on the list... and it has a few remarkably romantic moments... but not the kind of thing I'd vote for here since it's not a poll about relentless and unhealthy obsession. Would have been nice to see a few more basic, rom-com-ish entries too... like 10 Things I Hate About You or Say Anything. Very glad that Un cœur en hiver and The Last of the Mohicans could squeeze in at least. And I guess it's safe to say there aren't many fans of Out of Sight on here. Zilch on my crime poll, didn't make the top 100 of the '90s, and now this...  |

Interesting list. Surprised that films like Bridges of Madison County, The Sound of Music, West Side Story and even Ghost were left out, as well as all of Richard Curtis' filmography. Some films I like a lot, but would never consider for a list like this (Remains of the Day, Graduate, Phantom Thread, Vertigo), but on a positive note, it's nice to see Edward Scissorhands, Amélie, Moonlight, Before Sunrise, Le notti bianche, Groundhog Day, Her, Titanic and especially Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, which was my #1. Thanks for doing this, Sharbs, and great work with the presentation!  |

Damn, I missed to send a list, sorry Sharbs. However this is one of the rare times for a poll on this form I love the very top of the list, meaning the top 3, which all deserve their spot (though as much as I adore Casablanca, it's probably top 20 of all time for me, I view it more as a political drama than a romance). |

not gonna lie, before number 50 was announced I was already like this:  ... but then I was pretty happy to see a Cocteau and Ophuls film in the list ( both intrinsically attached to the genre ) and to see the different parameters for what constitutes a romance. Nice presentation Sharbs ! |

I can understand people overlooking Vertigo or preferring other films for the sake of this list. But it's definitely a romance film. It was my #2.

Missed the presentation. Great list but
- Sunrise is way too low.
- Roman Holiday should've been higher.
- I love Vertigo but i didn't vote for it. Glad to see it in top 5.
- I like Phantom Thread but it is way too high.
- Brief Encounter in top 3 is a pleasant surprise.
- No surprises in the top 2.
