In theory there's no way he logically could or should win .......and yet....... when you see lunatic wackjobs tearing down statues of George Washington, Abe Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant and Teddy Roosevelt and Columbus - at least 4 of which should never, ever be torn down (and I'm saying all 5 actually) - well every day you give reasonable people a reason to vote for him even though Biden doesn't support this childish BS in the name of protest specifically......trying really hard to blow an election that should be a slam dunk for Biden now...."silence means approval" the US Left is so fond of saying ...........well except when the silence is actually on the Left.
Again.......a pox on both their houses.....

And his numbers have steadily declined in the midst of these protests, much more than with his handling of the coronavirus. He's in the low 40s and still trending down.

Oh I don't know about that Tommen - a lot of things go into that one issue - police, crime, personal property, patriotism and peoples belief systems ....... I mean that's sort of a strawman argument above - I didn't say there were people who would vote for him JUST on that issue but that could be motivating in the general sense. I know what the polls say.........I know what they said in 2016 too ..........not saying he's winning, atm I don't see how he is but the Left has been ghastly and cynical on this "issue" (if you can call it that)......... and referring to George Washington and Thomas Jefferson as merely "slave owners" isn't very reasonable either imo tbh

If Trump wins it will mainly be due to voter suppression, misinformation, and foreign interference, imo.

Biden is way ahead in polling and won the dem primary handily. He’s a strong candidate despite the narratives being pushed on his mental state. He appeals to a large chunk of Americans that are in the middle or even slightly right as an alternative to Trump.

It's not they vote in spite of other people pulling down statues of Lincoln and Washington (and idiocy itsself), but because they don't care about discrimination and other serious issues - not to talk about them who have a worldview, that includes discrimination, hate, racism, etc.

Just to be fair......there's also this: and yes this is Trump propaganda I agree and I know the polls right now but it's not false and is kind of troubling .....this is the GNR "Chinese Democracy" of presidential campaigns. Today makes 84 (June 25) days since Joe Biden held a press conference.

I think it's smart that Biden's laying low. All eyes our on Trump's incompetence right now, another gaffe from Biden in front of a camera could change that. Amusingly (or I suppose depressingly) Biden seems to be most popular when not in the spotlight... That's to his benefit right now. His lead in the polls continues to rise despite not being in the public eye at all.

If and when Trump is able to start traditionally campaigning he's going to narrow the lead by firing up his base with the big rallies. The longer the delay of the campaign goes on the better it is for Biden.

The next few months are going to be critical for him. He's already fumbling hard in the many people's eyes with his COVID-19 "response", and even though the economy seems to be rebounding in several ways, the jobless rate is still crushingly high. Add to that the racially charged atmosphere with BLM protests and rallying cries to defund the police, if Trump continues to stand on his pedestal of ignorance and apathy regarding this issue, he could very well alienate more potential voters.

His best strategy is just to stay out of the public eye and let Trump hang himself like he’s been doing the past couple of months.

Yep, which is why Biden’s gotta spend all of his time out of the spotlight prepping for the first debate bc its gonna be ugly if he can’t put a coherent sentence together to defend himself against Trump’s attacks
