In case you aren’t aware... Trump made an alarming offer to the Ukrainian President in a phone call, leading to a whistleblower complaint. Then Trump, for whatever reason, published a *summary* of the transcript with his call, which basically amounted to “help me help you.”This then lead the House to launch an inquiry into, as one wise voice so eloquently put it, impeaching the motherfucker. And now, not content to keep his trap shut, Trump is essentially threatening the whistleblower, calling that person “close to a spy”, and how “we used to handle spies a lot differently.” Ladies and Gentlemen, life is imitating satire, and that’s fucking scary.

Well, I'm going to get killed for this but my take on it is the Democratic Party - which I am a lifelong member of (and I'm 243 older than the Party) has lost its mind. They essentially have been trying to overturn the 2016 election since they lost it, and imo, you've knocked Biden out because the taint of corruption will tarnish him too. Great job, lose your most appealing candidate to win a Pyrrhic victory, great move. I hear a lot of sloppy, cringe inducing talk in the transcript but I don't see a justifiable impeachment case - you have no criminal element (like you had for Clinton and Nixon) ........I get it, Trump is awful.......but the people voted him in, and you have to beat him in an election in a little over a year.......I don't see how this will do it tbh.

We've had the US Ambassodor to the EU testify under oath that it was a quid pro quo. I guess this means that all the Republicans who said that was what was necessary to convict him will support impeachment now, right?
Trump was tying the aid to announcing an investigation, not actually investigating. There is no case to be made anymore that Trump was genuinely concerned about corruption.

I guess this means that all the Republicans who said that was what was necessary to convict him will support impeachment now, right? I honestly doubt it. The GOP has done so much shifting the goalpost with this whole scandal. First he didn't do it, then he did do it but it wasn't illegal and/or everyone does it anyways so there's nothing wrong with it. Absolutely astounding the level of willful ignorance some people will have. It's actually kind of scary the level to which people will ignore cold hard facts. You can tell them that the sky is blue but if Trump says it's pink, they'll say it's pink and believe it too, and they'll put it on t-shirts and make hashtags out of it. That's how hard people are dug in. Nixon has nothing on what's going on here. It's unprecedented and horrifying. 73% of GOP voters said that despite literally any information which might surface during the inquiry, they wouldn't change their minds on impeachment.Let's just hope the recent elections in VA, KY and LA are indicative of the blue wave continuing next year and that the impeachment inquiry if nothing else mobilizes blue/independent voters to get off their asses and confront this tyrannical democracy-raping bullshit head on. Whatever semblance of a discussion that existed in this country Trump has completely decimated with his sloganeering and tweeting. Red voters can't be reached or reasoned with. They have to be beaten until the angry 50+ white demographic dies off.

I think many people may fear violence from his supporters if he is impeached - violence he will only fan.

Hmmmmmmm 4 Law Professors to present a case (you could literally hear Americans turn off their TVs), one of them namechecks a 13 year old kid (wtf) to make Trump (or at least Melania) sympathetic (wtf), all 4 of the law professors didn't raise their hands when asked if they could name a single material fact in the Schiff Report (wtf), which somehow made Matt Gaetz for Godsakes look like a genius (wtf). Come on, stick the landing -

Anyone following the Ukraine crisis. Looks like things have become serious. Don't listen to Biden. They simply want to sell gas and petrol to European countries who were supplied by Russia til now. USA sold weapons to Ukraine meanwhile. Even the Ukrainian premier is annoyed by Biden proclaiming alert because they're losing foreign investors.

It is no coincedence that U.S. has now started to scream about the upcoming invasion. Nord Stream 2 is currently undergoing a certification process and is months away from becoming operational. Since their usage of extraterritorial sanctions have failed to halt the project, U.S is turning to other means (playing up the war threat).

A couple of Ukrainian areas have a huge majority of Russian inhabitants. Even in the European Union constitution self determination of people is promoted. A different matter is if Russia wanted to invade Kiev, but this isn't the case.

We shall see if there's any truth behind those words in coming weeks.

When you remember that all our officials at the top levels of government are bought and owned by the Chinese it becomes painfully obvious that China is just playing us off against Russia. The conflicts of interest between China-Russia are much more intense than the ones between USA-Russia, and those only exist because we insist on continuing to have Western Europe as a sort of quasi-vassal state, making any problem between Europe and Russia our problem when it’s almost always just a regional issue that shouldn’t be our concern. Xi and his buddies are clever motherfuckers and now they’re trying to go full divide and conquer here

So Putin might be considering independence for Luhansk and Donetsk. With that scenario, the question is whether Ukraine would be willing to defend its sovereignty or just concede the territory.
