So Putin might be considering independence for Luhansk and Donetsk. With that scenario, the question is whether Ukraine would be willing to defend its sovereignty or just concede the territory. He did and then some.

This looks awful.-
And The Western Leaders are mostly idiots.-
5 years ago I laughed a lot about the Conspirancy Theories (Soros, Rotchilds, Rockefeller, Bill Gates, the Bilderberg Group, Planned Parenthood, the Masonics, Opus Dei, Foro Sao Paulo).
But now I'm not laugh any more, I don't think that are the 7 plagues of Egypt, just they finance polititians, that at the end were just idiots propagued by the media. The whole thing is that all these idiots are in charge.-
And a Fox like Putin is eating all these stupid chickens.-

In 1991, this is what was promised to the USSR :
"We made it clear during the '2 plus 4' negotiation on the reunification of Germany, with the participation of the Federal Republic of Germany, the German Democratic Republic, the United States, the Soviet Union, Great Britain and France, that we do not intend to move the NATO forward beyond the Oder. And therefore, we cannot grant Poland or other Central and Eastern European nations the opportunity to join"

yeah right-leaning nationalists are always going to be drawn to strongmen like Putin. Trump's a fan too, said we should do something similar on the southern border.

“As we’ve seen in the past, we expect Russia will try to force cooperation through intimidation and repression,” said a U.S. official who spoke on background on condition of anonymity. “These acts, which in past Russian operations have included targeted killings, kidnappings/forced disappearances, detentions, and the use of torture, would likely target those who oppose Russian actions, including Russian and Belarusian dissidents in exile in Ukraine, journalists and anti-corruption activists, and vulnerable populations such as religious and ethnic minorities and LGBTQI+ persons,” the official said. Anyone following the Ukraine crisis. Looks like things have become serious. Don't listen to Biden. They simply want to sell gas and petrol to European countries who were supplied by Russia til now. USA sold weapons to Ukraine meanwhile. Even the Ukrainian premier is annoyed by Biden proclaiming alert because they're losing foreign investors. Welp.

Russia is a terrorist state. It's time for the West to embargo Russia, cut it off of SWIFT, seize overseas Russian assets, and deport Russians back to Russia.

Well, let's hope this war doesn't escalate to something bigger.
I think anyone with even the slightest knowledge of geopolitics could see this happening, since diplomacy didn't lead to any solutions. And, no, it's not because Putin is a bloodthirsty warmonger, but it was pretty obvious that he wouldn't allow Ukraine to join NATO and the US to develop military bases near Russia's borders, especially near borders that cannot be easily defended due to their geography (the border between Ukraine and Russia is just plains). And, honestly, I think most European and American leaders that have suddenly become pacifistis, while their parties have waged so may wars themselves in the past, would have done the same in his place. Pretty hypocritical to be honest. It's just tragic that the ones who will suffer the most from this whole thing are the citizens of Ukraine and they are the only ones who aren't at fault at all.
Let's hope this whole situation deescalates quickly and a diplomatic solution is found.

This offers yet another proof that sanctions are worthless and more often than not counterproductive. When European Union imposed sanctions on Belarus, Lukashenko retaliated by unleashing wave of migrants on EU's borders. U.S. unilaterally withdrew from JCPOA and decided to impose sanctions, Iran is now closer to producing nuclear weapons than ever. EU,UK&US sanctioned Russia and Russian missiles are now raining down around Ukraine. How do Western powers intend to respond to increased hostilities ? More sanctions ! It's incredible how they never learn.
Western powers should do what needed to be done in the first place: take Russian security concerns seriously and commit in the form of treaty that NATO will not continue to expand eastwards. That is the only way to resolve this conflict and bring bloodshed to an end.
