All these memories of the best death scene ever will be lost in time, like tears in the rain. Time to die.

This season has really picked things up in its second half, but that last one was officially its best episode yet. Paddy Considine firmly cemented as one of the best TV performances in recent years; Eve Best finally getting some great material to work with; Matt Smith claims the best kill in a Westeros TV show to date. I'm all in, folks.
(Still too fucking dark tho.)

A good episode but not in the range of the other 9th episodes in thrones. What has happened to the CGI of this series. The last scene really due to bad CGI.

Yes, a strange ending indeed, I mean hard to see it as a heroic "badass" moment when it involved killing probably a 100 innocent peasants.

still catching up, just watched "Lord of the Tides" which is a top three episode but still hamstrung by the time jump (Vaemond hasn't existed in the world until this ep so who cares what happens to his tongue/head). Considine went out with a bang. For a minute there it was looking like he was gonna die happy and I was actually tearing up at the toastsbut then those snot-nosed kids had to go and ruin it. JUST BE NICE

Pure dread from the dragon scene, well done but what's with the "no, no" commands and do dragons act out of their way disregarding their masters?
lol at people who are drooling over Daemon. All over a good season.

All over a good season. Oh i forgot Viserys once said "the idea that we control dragons is an illusion". Guess that sums up.

season redeems itself in the final three eps that build upon each other brilliantly (this is the kind of buildup and payoff I've been waiting for). Loved how the final two eps were halves of the same defining moment... Alicent's response to Viserys' death in "The Green Council" and then Rhaenyra's in "The Black Queen". The battle lines are finally drawn.
1. Paddy Considine 2. Milly Alcock 3. Eve Best 4. Emma D'Arcy 5. Olivia Cooke 6. Ewan Mitchell 7. Matt Smith 8. Emily Carey 9. Matthew Needham (needs a lot more screentime next season) 10. Jefferson Hall
H/M for one-ep wonder Sian Brooke

I think episodes 2 through 7 were varying shades of stupid, disappointing, and baffling, with good moments mixed in.
The first and last were great, episode 8 was probably my favourite of the lot, and 9 very good too.
Considine was incredible (even if his aging and deterioration was kind of funny in comparison to everyone else... Was there some explanation for this I missed?), D'Arcy deserves to be the big breakout star of the show, and Olivia Cooke being the mother to grownup children was just about the least convincing thing I've seen since Donald Trump as God-loving Christian.

They aged Viserys, but forgot or didn't care to use appropriate make-up everyone else. Rhaenyra and Alicent are supposed to be in their late 30s/early 40's, Corlys and his brother in their 70's, Daemon is only 3 years younger than Viserys, etc.
