Clare Kilner did a phenomenal job directing this episode. Really hope she's back next season.

Yeah, episode 4 did indeed wash the bad taste out of my mouth. Considine's is rapidly becoming one of the very best performances in the GOT universe.

These first 5 episodes really should have been an entire season.

Isn't he liked, the opposite of it? He is getting laid with the hot chick and could continue to.

Team Snake in the Grass!!! I don't like the dragon girl or his psycho uncle But the Snake is a Sea one, hehehe.
Regarding Damon, one thing I liked about this is that actually casting an actress to play his wife, we actually have the answers to a) Is she as unattractive as Damon makes her to be (the answer is of course not, she's beautiful) and b) Why doesn't he like her? It's pretty clear that she's not the kind of person he can dominate or would easily impress, so he can't get hard and he blames her for it.

Was getting ready to say this show was officially on the decline but that entire ball sequence was awesome. Would be a shame if this is the last we see of Milly Alcock. I'm rooting for Emma D'Arcy to be just as good if not better, but just seeing her in the coming attractions was a bit jarring, lol. Olivia Cooke tho ... welcome

Even in the original series Dollys was beautiful. Any way, I guess more because she is earth and he is more air and fire.

This show is going to have a huge void in it when Paddy Considine leaves. His performance is so searingly poignant -- the scene where he asks Lyonel Strong how he'll be remembered might be the best scene of the series thus far. It felt like an inversion of the scene where Tywin admonishes Joffrey about "being counselled at this very moment." Lyonel Strong looks like he was going to tell Viserys that he was being tested at that very moment, and the true test was at the wedding feast, and Viserys failed. That sort of thing would never have happened on Robert Baratheon's watch. Viserys is a good man but a horrible king.

It's ironic how Viserys was already at the crucible and failed, and didn't even notice (very human). By marrying Alicent and having a son, but still keeping Rhaenyra as heir, he made sure there will be a war of succession that will doom his family and the realm, as Otto pointed out.

No one in this universe embodies "the road to hell is paved with good intentions" more than Viserys I.

I know this is a carryover problem from later season GOT, but my god, I cannot see shit during the night scenes in this show, no matter how much I adjust my TV settings, and it somehow seems like it's getting worse by the week.
Though again ... I enjoyed the ep.

Was enjoying this episode until the cop-out at the end, which makes zero sense I'm fine with it. I think it raises interesting implications for the future.

The dragons in GoT looked great. Here they look different but ugly and most of all the scale looks off. Dany's dragons look bigger with the exception of Vhagar.
