I'm sure I'll give this a look but I'd have much preferred a prequel based around the northern families.

House of the Dragon "not anywhere close to done" They released the teaser too early. I assumed filming was wrapped or close to being wrapped last fall but nope, and now they have a lot of post to do. Maaaybe it comes out in summer at the earliest or possibly Q4 but how annoying would it be if we have to wait until 2023 to watch this thing. And here they had me thinking it was dropping in spring cuz of that damn teaser

I hope the opening scene is a highlight reel of season 9 and then the character wakes up with a "oh, I've had a terrible dream" and then runs into Patrick Duffy in the shower.

Ned Stark snaps awake and realizes he's staring Robert Baratheon in the eye in Winterfell. And he says, "Nah, Bob, I think I'll stay here."

They should redo that shit ending for us or do a film to expand on it and change the course they went with. That's what they really should do.

The next best thing is to make a great spinoff that helps everyone forget how terrible that ending was

That was the beginning of the end.

That was the beginning of the end. Yeah, specially considering how big of a role he plays in book 5 (I'm pretty sure he's the character that appears in the most chapters, though I haven't seen anyone count), and was clear that point they were just doing whatever they felt like it, rather than following GRRM's plans, like they claimed. I ended up dropping at the end of s05 and was not sorry.

That was the beginning of the end. for me it was when it become obvious they had no idea what to do with Tyrion, so they had him spend days getting drunk on a boat before going on a wacky adventure with Jorah and ending up in Meereen to give Dany horrible advice (clearly something happened to his brain on that boat).

While he does a bit of drunk in a boat saying non-sense in the 5th book too, the point of his journey is to introduce some important characters the show decided to cut altogether (we also get some big hints about Varys and what exactly does he want, though of course we'll probably never know for sure since no way in hell GRRM finishes the series).

Didn't love the longer teaser trailer. Much too dark, very little sense of the story or character or world but I'm still excited. I need that GoT content, I just hope it's good.
