I like the poster better than the trailer. Jodie Comer seems like a lead to me in this movie…

Damn, this looks much more Comer-centric than I expected. May we see her as a Best Actress contender instead?

Why Ridley Scott with a tiny credit?

Incredibly well shot, but I'm not so sure about this one...

Can't say that trailer did much for me aside from Comer ......mostly looks like it's going for a sense of grand awe .......which is pretty hard to pull off without seeming stiff or ponderous.......
.........also seemed incongruous in its dialog at times "the truth does not matter - there is only the power of men"......I winced a little there but hopefully it's couched differently in the movie......certainly wouldn't write it off or anything from that trailer .....just some concerns.......

Now I'm more intrigued than before!! This looks pretty good.
And if it's good enough awards-wise, Comer could be a contender for a nod. A shot in the dark but still...
Oh, and Affleck looks really ridiculous! Ok, I'm subjective when it comes to him but he looks very funny.

Well I'll be the fanboy and say I think this looks fantastic and I absolutely can't wait. Even when his films aren't the greatest there is something very special about his work....especially his epics. But I'm keeping my fingers super crossed that this is the year of Ridley and he delivers two great films!!!

I think we can see Comer getting a Lead or Supporting nomination at best, if the movie is decent or good enough.
But the movie looks at first sight the most Ridley Scott thing Ridley Scott has ever done, whether it's positive or negative, i'll leave it to you.

Pretty good trailer, love the Comer focus. I need a big epic in my veins.

It feels like the trailer is trying really hard to hide how meh the movie is. Kinda like Exodus: Gods and Kings first trailer.

People never learn. There's never been a bad looking Ridley Scott Trailer. His films can always be made to look really good or amazing in 2 minute trailers, especially as he is so strong on cinematography, production design, costumes and techs. Will the story come together in a compelling way? Well that is often Ridley's' problem. Ridley is always good on the superficial elements. But honestly, this looks no better than Robin Hood. We shall see if it is. The House Of Gucci trailer will look great and people will claim it will win all the Oscars...forgetting that all Ridley Scott trailers look good. It's the actual movie you need to worry about.
I will say, Damon looks much better and much more suited to this type of period film than I expected.

Pretty good but safe, unexciting trailer. I wonder if we'll see some double-nods in Oscar categories as this has practically same crew as Gucci.... camera, costume, editing, production design etc. It's sort of all set up to be The Year Of Ridley... we know these movies will be much talked about but in a good way?

Damon and Affleck looks like medieval cosplayers. Glad this is centered around Comer. Stunning visuals as with any Ridley film.

Damon, Driver, and especially Affleck were all incredibly bizarre casting choices, but Jodie Comer looks amazing.

.. mostly looks like it's going for a sense of grand awe ... You say that like it's a bad thing This looks a lot better than I was expecting (very gritty/intense feel to it judging by the trailer) It will take a bit of time to get used to Ben Affleck's Simple Jack hair style & Matt Damon's Joe Dirt hairstyle but damn this looks quite good. Count me in.

Did this movie only get made because of Damon and Affleck? Jodie looks good, by the way.

I'm intrigued. At the very least, a script by Damon/Affleck/Holofcener, the former two waiting decades to collaborate again in writing, means the script is likely not pedestrian the way many of Ridley's recent films have been weak on the page. And that's all Ridley needs; give him a screenplay that's like 83% thought through and you have a Best Picture contender.

Well this just shot up on my most anticipated list.
Big missed marketing opportunity though by not saying “From Ridley Scott… the director of Gladiator”, no?
