Happy (belated) Birthday Spike  I was waiting for this 5th reunion for ever, I didn't expect it to be for a Kurosawa remake but I'll take it, there is something special when they work together. First pic on the set of Da High and Low, Sirchuck is about to boycott this Joint.   Wow, first set pics look amazing. Was this a World Of Reel/Jordan Ruimy exclusive? Whoever his sources are need to be let go. |

Well, I sorta called it when Denzel was spotted having lunch with that rapper (Moneybagg Yo). That Spike Lee is going to do a Training Day and cast some popular music artists in the film to broaden it's demographic appeal. Now the rapper Ice Spice has been added to the cast.

So it's her film debut. Spike knows acting, so I'm trusting he saw some acting talent in her. I'm still impressed what a solid performance he got out of first-time actor and future NBA Hall Of Famer Ray Allen in He Got Game.

She has no talent. I can’t express properly how untalented and bland she is. I saw her open for Doja Cat, and this girl genuinely has no talent or stage presence. NONE. The biggest applause she got was when she showed her ass and twerked. Her music is awful. She’s not even attractive. She has no personality. She also seems unintelligent. One of the most untalented celebs out there acting in a movie with one of the greatest actors of all time is an abomination. Spike Lee is losing it |

Spike Lee is losing it Yeah, I don't really listen to her music, so I have no clue about her musical talent. Acting talent is something else, and all I'm curious about. And I don't think anyone here can really judge that till the movie is out, as this is her apparently her acting debut. I'm sure she'd have to screentest to get a role of any significance. And even if it turns out she's no Nicole Kidman as far as acting talent goes , she may simply be perfect casting for whatever role Spike cast her for, and just needs to bring her own personality to the part. This is why Training Day is an important reference. Macy Gray and Snoop Dogg are not great actors. But they were perfectly cast for the roles they were given because of their own personas, and it worked. So yeah, guess we'll see. |

You can't be half stepping around Denzel. He doesn't have the time. Another good point. Pretty sure Denzel would have to sign off on casting like that as well. Either he would have done a read with her or seen her audition tape before she got the role. He's not letting anyone around him who can't hang, or at least deliver in the role they are there for. |

GOAT fans have been eating well this past week or so . Love the suit, and it's hard to believe he's almost 70. If he keeps looking after himself, I think he's potentially still going to be an A-list movie star at 80, instead of having to dip into TV or supporting roles. Looks like he's lost a bit of weight as well. Spike and Denzel haven't dropped a poor joint yet. I have high hopes in this delivering. And yeah, the Inside Man vibes are there in those pics, and that can only be a good thing. |
