And I think Trump will lay a nice groundwork for Tulsi Gabbard in 2028. If Harris is back in '28..... the next president could be a woman. Nah 2028 GOP ticket is going to be Vance, and there's no way Harris comes back after this shellacking. Get ready for 8 years of Vance followed by .... yes I said it ... the Elon Musk era. And when his turn comes, he's gone convert all the on-the-fencers, the whole tech sector, the weak newer generations, all the nerdie airheads, and most of the wallstreet/reddit crowd like plums in his hands. He's gonna win by landslides in his turn. The writing on the wall couldn't be clearer now. it's gonna be a LONG Republican haul, as the DEMs have NO idea how to crawl back. Bernie Sanders may have been their last shot in a long time and they actively shoot down most Sanders policies. We know what Musk's long game was now when we were calling him fool for buying Twitter . I'm scared for Canada. Project 2025 is SO headed for us next year

Now I just learned that in some states in the US identification is not required for people to vote, which seems incredibly preposterous to me. So any random non-citizen (tourist, illegal immigrant or whatever) can go into the polling station, say a random name and, if that name happens to be on the list, go vote, without anyone checking if the person voting is the person he claims to be? And we are supposed to take these elections seriously? No wonder all the claims of voter fraud in the previous elections. Here in Greece having, at least, a photo identification with you when going to vote is compulsory.

r*ddit is taking it well Whoever wrote this has good clear unshakable morals, and I agree with them 100%. Not literally "burn in hell", cuz I don't believe in Hell (although they do DESERVE a fate like that), but everything else. You voted for Trump, you are an evil person. You are my enemy. Period, end of.

Disgusted by the amount of "your body, my choice" posts and comments I've been seeing on social media over the past day.

Not quite, you would have to have more information available (address, bday, etc…) and your signature would need to match with what they have on file. Voter fraud does occur but it’s a lot more rare than rampant.

Dems were losing this election no matter what.
It's unrealistic to get Biden numbers again. That was a one time thing. A great deal of those votes were casual votes. It's much easier to vote sitting on your couch and dropping off a piece of mail in your cubby box. That really runs up the count. Mail in restrictions are tighter this time.
Trump was basically the incumbent in this election even tho technically he wasnt. And word of wisdom is that the incumbent is hard to beat. Guys like Clinton, Reagan, Obama, and Trump were the defining figures of their generation. He wasn't gonna be beat this time with that influence, his peak popularity, top issues in his favor, and the advantage that we've seen the administrations of both (a rarity).
I also don't think a Harris vote increase was getting her across. Trump annihilated Ohio and Florida - states that the election hinged on 25 years ago.
Texas wasn't close. Virginia and New Jersey even given the suburban advantage were nearly swing states. Pennsylvania was nearly as swingy as New Hampshire. Trump won Long Island, Reno, Phoenix, and Miami. Harris won Illinois by only 8 percent - a state that goes as Chicago goes.
Hard to counter that kinda wave. Jmo tho.

At least folks can be happy now that maybe eggs will go down to $2 a dozen instead of the $2.50 they’ve been under Biden They won't because that's not how inflation works, we're not going to have actual deflation, and the president has no control over how much eggs cost. A lot of people are going to be really disappointed when they realize there's not a magic button in the oval office to bring back pre COVID prices. But you think inflation is the only thing prompting the shift. I would say the public is sick and tired of being manipulated by the Left. Yes, all forms of media manipulates but Liberal media manipulates more. The counter to this is causing young people to shift right. They feel alienated by the Libs preaching idealism while people's realities do not feel compatible with the Leftist media's typically nice sounding views of the world and their propagandist teachings.

Republican Dave McCormick defeated incumbent Democratic Sen. Bob Casey in Pennsylvania’s Senate race, The Associated Press projected, marking the 53rd Senate seat Republicans have captured in winning back the majority.

I think that's what explains Trump doing way better than anyone thought in 16 and building his initial coalition. But he did a lot better this time, I don't think someone who wasn't on board in 16 or 20 would suddenly come to that realization when the culture right now is a significantly less woke than it was in 2016 or 2020. The extra 5% of voters who put him over the top and gave him a PV win for the first time were probably economic voters.

The more accessible forms like MSNBC, CNN, Google, Big Tech and all the corporations besides FoxNews. But yeah, on certain online platforms there seems to be more influence from the right. At least now compared to 10 years ago. Random ManDudes are starting YouTube channels, and people watch them. They are more condescending than the left. They often treat the left as lower intellectually, or laugh at their worldwides. They seem to combat the left more than the left combats them. The left is more robotic and automatonic with their spewings, and quicker to vilify half the population. They both possess despicable traits, but mainstream media dominates the average people more so that's what I was thinking. Still what you say certainly has a half truth to it. And the rise of those young men's influence online certainly might've shifted the demographic. I will say tho the right loves Trump more than the Left loved Harris. The left went "she's the lesser of two evils" and held that stance for 3 straight cycles. I think the right loving Trump more pushed him over the top. Both sides were overconfident that they were winning - but the right did the math more. Whereas the left jumped on a sensationalist media piece (Seltzer Iowa poll, Puerto Rican comment, the debate and the praise that Harris got for it from the mainstream - compounded by Taylor Swift's message). So they both had their own ways of generating optimism, but the right focused on the more relevant thing - which was.... the math.

Looking forward to the “centrists” on this board who complained about Biden at every opportunity staying quiet (again) each time Trump does something unhinged over the next four years.

Add to that Trump's whole initial appeal was a reaction against the sanitized Obama era politics with him being warm and fuzzy all the time and the Republicans being led by boring guys like Romney, McCain, and Boehner. People liked that Trump yelled, got angry, and was willing to "go there" and make personal attacks against his opponents. So it doesn't really make sense to vote for Trump because you don't think there's enough civility and respect in politics. I'm actually giving a certain segment of his voters a little credit here by assuming it wasn't just "oWNiNG TE LIBs" and they were actually voting for Trump because they believed he could handle an important political issue better than Harris. Saw an exit poll that said 1/3 of voters said the economy was their most important issue and 80% of those voters went for Trump. That's the ballgame. Harris voters were far more likely to cite culture war issues as most important.
