People just believe the lies because they are in too deep and admitting that you're wrong about him makes u look like a moron.

I really love the discussions that are held on Amanpour & Company - I think this one in particular provides some really potent food for thought. Heather Cox Richardson's argument is that white grievance arises (not just in the US, but across the Western world) when the majority of wealth is held by an extremely small minority. In other words, white people are more willing to grant rights and equality to people of color and other minorities when their tables are full... pacinoyes Tommen_Saperstein quetee

It is difficult to communicate the concept of white privilege when the white people being spoken to are struggling themselves to make ends meet.

Wealth & class inequity enflames racial tension, and that's why GOP has made inroads with working class blacks and Latinos because it's more about class and access to education than race. I think those numbers have been overstated (they didn't meaningfully materialize in 2020 or 2022), but Dems have undeniably lost ground on that front.
the messaging issue is one I'll never understand. Majority of Americans, even rural Trump-voting Americans, support a variety of policies dems actively campaign on, but that message isn't penetrating the grievance-driven rightwing media bubble. It's very easy to convince someone struggling to blame a particular target (whether that be a group of migrants or entire social institutions) because they're already primed to need to blame someone.

I think it's happening at the most visceral level in the UK right now... what's going on in the UK is so scary. Mass influx of migrants always leads to some tension but in the case of UK and greater Europe it seems to have really pushed lots of people far to the right on immigration, enflamed by social media and misinformation. Ugly nationalism and hatred of migrants & Muslims is mainstream. Migration due to climate change is going to make all this instability 100 times worse.

Not so sure he is done changing it too.......he is a big believer in that NC / GA / Pa path to victory for Trump and needs polls to "confirm" it...............which is questionable to say the very least...........very questionable methodology

Now it's a race, or it's a Harris sinking ship. ⚓🚢 This would be the equivalent of a bomb in the campaign basically ...........I said this before Trump is more or less going for that NC / Ga / Pa path...... Arizona and Virginiai replace the need for ANY blue wall state at all.......... which contradicts everything everybody has ever said about this election .......

She can sweep the rust belt and still lose even tho it's hard for EITHER to SWEEP the Rust Belt. They vote together most of the time but it can't be guaranteed. I think Trump is trying to make the Rust Belt essentially meaningless (but it's pretty much all swing-y/either way there too). He went to Long Island to hold a giant rally to try to get Senate seats in case it goes to a 269-269 tie (I admit unlikely). I don't think Arizona's a battleground state anymore. It's Trump's.

Once again, they are all compromised how r these two things the same? One is a shout out at a virtual event and another one has 10 plus pics of the two together? And while we are at it, Trump shared a photoshopped photo of Diddy and Kamala. I wonder why he failed to remind people that he actually hung out with him at parties.
