I'm only doing wins of big eight categories, but you can do noms and tech categories as well.
Picture: Wonderstruck Director: Haynes Actor: Oldman, The Darkest Hour Actress: Winslet, Wonder Wheel S. Actor: Dafoe, The Florida Project (cuz wtf) S. Actress: Scott Thomas, The Darkest Hour (seriously have no idea about the supporting categories tbh) O. Screenplay: I'll go screwball and predict Three Billboards here. A. Screenplay: Call Me By Your Name
You go now!

Yeah, word on I Tonya is that it's a very dark comedy, and Janney could be a huge contender in supporting actress Greatest Showman screened last night, and there seemed to be an agreement from a few who attended that the movie is a trainwreck, and needs serious reshoots-- heard it's "more Annie remake than La La Land"

Are we sure Inner City is actually coming out this year? I'm still doubtful there. I'm also leaving out Phantom Thread (despite it being my most anticipated of the year) as I feel it'll come too late and won't be able to fit in.

Best Picture: 1. The Post 2. Call Me By Your Name 3. The Florida Project 4. Darkest Hour 5. Inner City 6. Last Flag Flying 7. Get Out 8. Wonderstruck 9. Detroit 10. Dunkirk I still want to wait on reviews for "Dunkirk" and "Detroit", then I'll decide if I should put them higher or not.
Best Director: 1. Steven Spielberg - The Post 2. Luca Guadagnino - Call Me By Your Name 3. Joe Wright - Darkest Hour 4. Christopher Nolan - Dunkirk 5. Sean Baker - The Florida Project Alt. Todd Haynes - Wonderstruck or Bigelow? Don't think Coppola is happening.
Best Actor: 1. Gary Oldman - Darkest Hour 2. Denzel Washington - Inner City 3. Tom Hanks - The Post 4. Bryan Cranston - Last Flag Flying 5. Donald Sutherland - The Leisure Seeker Alt. Timothée Chalamet - Call Me By Your Name who has strong reviews but way too young. If the film turns out to be good, SPC may push Sutherland harder instead who's arguably the most overdue actor alive.
Best Actress: 1. Meryl Streep - The Post 2. Judi Dench - Victoria and Abdul 3. Daniela Vega - A Fantastic Woman 4. Kate Winslet - Wonder Wheel 5. Frances McDormand - Three Billboards Alt. Jlaw probably. Bening, Ronan, and Close still have no distributor. Not sure of Foy, who was wonderful in "The Crown" but the film doesn't sound that interesting and not sure if she can make it without Garfield. I think they may push her supporting depending on how the category will turn out.
Best Supporting Actor: 1. Michael Stuhlbarg - Call Me By Your Name 2. Willem Dafoe - Florida Project 3. Colin Farrell - Inner City 4. Steve Buscemi - Lean on Pete 5. Sam Rockwell - Three Billboards Alt. Mendelsohn coattail if "Darkest Hour" really turn out to be strong.
Best Supporting Actress: 1. Kristin Scott Thomas - Darkest Hour 2. Melissa Leo - Novitate 3. Allison Janney - I Tonya 4. Michelle Pfeiffer - mother! 5. Mary J. Blige - Mudbound Alt. Rachel McAdams - Disobedience
Best Original Screenplay: 1. The Post 2. Darkest Hour 3. Inner City 4. Get Out 5. Wonder Wheel Alt. Three Billboards, mother!, Phantom Thread, Killing of a Sacred Deer, Meyerowitz Stories, Lady Bird, Florida Project. it's packed.
Best Adapted Screenplay: 1. Call Me By Your Name 2. Last Flag Flying 3. Death of Stalin 4. Wonderstruck 5. Mudbound Alt. The Beguiled, Blade Runner, The Disaster Artist.

I'm not sure a supporting player will stand out there though. I also came to close to including Daniela Vega, but her film doesn't have a release date yet and it might be too much for the Academy.

I don't think he's too young like Jacob Tremblay for not receiving a leading nom. he's 20 years despite his young look Which is still very young. I mean nobody under 25 got in since Travolta (Saturday Night Fever) which makes me doubtful about Chalamet.

PICTURE: Call Me By Your Name DIRECTOR: Luca Guadagnino - Call Me By Your Name ACTOR: Gary Oldman - Darkest Hour (ALT: Daniel Day Lewis - Phantom Thread, or; Andrew Garfield - Breathe) ACTRESS: Jennifer Lawrence - Mother! (I still have no clue.) SUPPORTING ACTOR: Michael Stuhlbarg - Call Me By Your Name SUPPORTING ACTRESS: Mary J. Blige - Mudbound (ALT: Michelle Pfeiffer - Mother!) ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY: Jordan Peele - Get Out (Slight ALT: Alexander Payne - Downsizing) ADAPTED SCREENPLAY: James Ivory - Call Me By Your Name
TBH, I have no clue about almost all the Categories Except for Supporting Actor and Best Picture.
'Best Actress' is where my Predictions REALLY go for a loop, several times over. As of right now, there is no "Possible" Winner, 3 Noms maybe - but not a clear cut Winner. My Most Confident Choice for Actress is a "Brie Larson - Room Scenario," where a somewhat unknown Actress comes out of nowhere and pushes aside everyone's Early Oscar Predictions. I still believe 'Call Me By Your Name' will be the heavy hitter and will most likely Win Best Picture, no other Film comes close right now. Steven Spielberg hasn't made an above Decent Film since 'Munich.' And Anyone predicting 'Darkest Hour' for a Best Picture Nom... HAHAHAHAHA. Check out the Director Folks! It's chances aren't big. I think the Oscars Race will become more clear for all of us when Toronto and Telluride come around.

Are you dim or just a troll Spielberg got a BP nom for 3 our of his last 4 films (which were all Oscar bait over the lone family, adventure film) Darkest Hour is prime Joe Wright bait, and features the likely Actor winner

Steven Spielberg hasn't made an above Decent Film since 'Munich.' The Academy mustn't have got that memo, judging by the 3 BP nominations they've given his films since then.

Not saying 'The Post' won't get nominated, I'm just saying It's not Major Contender to Win anything. Also; 'Darkest Hour is prime Joe Wright bait.' Doesn't mean It has a chance beside an Actor Nom. Also, unlike you, I at least consider the possibilities of certain things, like the Film ACTUALLY getting a Best Picture Nom even though the chances are very, VERY slim. Unless Joe Wright pulls a miracle, which I doubt will happen. People always go towards the "from what is already established/based on previous favorites" with their predictions, and not even in a smart way. It's not even based on Academy Mentality, but on the Filmmakers themselves Pre-Release, (which almost all the time can be a 50/50 gamble.) Just look at these predictions from the Majority/Conscience over the past couple of years... THE 89th ACADEMY AWARDS (April - June 2017) Best Picture: Birth of a Nation Best Actor: Nate Parker - The Birth of a Nation Best Actress: Viola Davis - Fences (Was Instead Campaigned for Supporting) Best Supporting Actor: Liam Neeson - Silence Best Supporting Actress: Michelle Williams - Manchester By The Sea Best Director: Martin Scorsese - Silence THE 88th ACADEMY AWARDS (April - June 2016) Best Picture: Bridge of Spies Best Actor: Eddie Redmayne - The Danish Girl Best Actress: Cate Blanchett - Joy Best Supporting Actor: Robert De Niro - Joy Best Supporting Actress: Rooney Mara - Carol Best Director: David O. Russell - Joy THE 87th ACADEMY AWARDS (April - June 2015) Best Picture: Unbroken Best Actor: Michael Keaton - Birdman Best Actress: Reese Witherspoon - Wild Best Supporting Actor: Mark Ruffalo - Foxcatcher Best Supporting Actress: Laura Dern - Wild Best Director: Angelina Jolie - Unbroken AND SO ON! Granted, a lot of these did end up being nominated. However, the catch is guessing the Nominations, in which the inaccuracy of those same Years in terms of nominations - I'm not even going to go through. Yeah, remember 'Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk?' Or how about 'Love and Mercy?' Or maybe even; "Suffragette" "Youth" "I Saw The Light" "Adam Jones" "Sully" "Passengers" "Story of Your Life" You get the point... also 'The Soloist,' 'Anna Karenina,' 'Hanna,' and 'Pan.' Enough said.
