Just caught up, great episode overall! I think things are moving along nicely (thank god since there's only 7 episodes to work with) without feeling rushed. I was confused at first by what Arya meant by 'that's not you' as well but then I always remember her season 1 line: 'That's not me'. When Ned tells her she'll grow up to be a lady, rule a castle and have children. Nymeria could never return to Winterfell as she has spent most of her life living in the wild leading a pack of wolves. Going with Arya to be her pet just doesn't make sense and she has her own life now. Fantastic symmetry there and good move by the writers 'cause it would have been so predictable had Nymeria simply gone North with Arya. I think this is the last we'll see of her but who knows? Maybe she'll follow her and live in woods near Winterfell? Always love seeing Hot Pie too and I was dying at Arya's line about the pies: Hot Pie: "You been making pies?" Arya: "One or two" Still can't stand Daenerys. Her ordering Jon to come and bend the knee, really? What happened to the whole "the other lords are free to ask for independence as well" stuff she said last year? She will never control the North, she needs to accept that.

Great episode. The only down points are 1) Clarke really can't do menace/intimidation at all and 2) what the fuck was up with Bran's Dr. Manhattan voice impersonation (and the CGI face).

My personal good/bad rundown; Good: Cersei was absolutely based. Loved the ending. The Jon/Dany stuff was pretty great. Euron has definitely improved... maybe that's just because we saw how much of a psycho he really is last episode tho. The Sansa/Littlefinger stuff was solid. Bad: Bran... I don't know if it was the acting or the directing, but that did not work at all. The Jorah and Sam scenes were serviceable, nothing more. Could've gone without Tyrion narration during the Casterly Rock scenes. No Arya or the Hound They're easily my favorite parts of the show rn. Arya's storyline has really redeemed itself in my eyes after the atrocious faceless man arc. Also where tf is Gendry? Overall, good episode. I guess Varys and Mel are pretty much confirmed dead, which is a shame- I really wanted Varys to survive. And RIP the best Tyrell.

That was a pretty nice episode. Predictable, but solid stuff. Definitely a step-up over the middling first two. First off, the more Sand Snakes justice, the better. Cersei is getting a bit too over-the-top in her villainy, but it nonetheless worked in spades in her revenge scene, and I loved it. Otherwise on the King's Landing front, watching the civilians yell and throw garbage at people being marched through the streets will probably never get old. Elsewhere, the Jon / Dany meeting was handled well, with Jon thankfully retaining his Northerner stubbornness and not bending the knee. Overall, those interactions played out, more or less, exactly as they needed to. Tyrion was finally watchable -- and, actually, even entertaining -- for the first time in a loooong time, and Dinklage was legitimately fun to watch. Even Emilia Clarke wasn't as bad as usual here.
I was hoping Sansa's reunion would be with Arya, but Bran does make far more logical sense to get there first (assuming that Arya will even show up at all), and I sort of loved his eerie stoicism, aside from Wright's shoddy acting. Heading down to Oldtown, I thought for sure that Jim Broadbent was going to make Sam a Maester on the spot, and I'm glad that we didn't get a cheesy moment like that. My biggest complaint overall with this installment is that I felt we were totally cheated out of two action sequences, with the sack of Casterly Rock being obnoxiously narrated over by Tyrion's exposition moment, and the sack of Highgarden not even being seen. (Nice to see Jaime pull a Robb Stark, though.) But still, it was fascinating of them to end the episode on a more character-focused moment rather than a big action sequence, which I appreciated. Olenna's final words struck a nice blow.

Generally, that was a fantastic episode. Not perfect, but a step-up from the already solid first two episodes for sure. This season continues to be several notches above the previous two, which is great to see. 9/10
Good: - The Jon and Dany stuff was really great. I loved that Jon refused to give in to Dany's obnoxious demands (he really has become one of my favourites). Harington and Clarke were both very good here, and I'm looking forward to how this alliance will shape in future. Tyrion also continues to have easily his best season since the fourth - though he was also responsible for one of my least favourite aspects of the episode.
- King's Landing was fantastic this week. Lena Headey is easily my favourite of the show's expansive cast (and Cersei continues to be the most complex, interesting character). Her revenge scene was gloriously dark, with nice touches of emotion from Cersei beautifully realised by Headey. Euron continues to be annoying, though.
- Loving Sansa ruling, and her reuniting with Bran instead of Arya first was interesting and unexpected. Littlefinger's advice also made for a great moment, and was one of the few times since S1 that he's been anything more than an irritating cartoon.
- Sam scenes were decent, though I doubt there'll ever be standouts unless a miracle happens. I still think that greyscale cure was pretty cheap and lazy, but if there's a supposed element of danger to the process, I guess it's not as bad? I like that they're really using Broadbent and not wasting him like Sydow.
- The Jaime and Olenna scene at the end was probably the highlight of the episode. I too loved that they went for the character moment over the bombastic action set piece, and Olenna's cutting final words were so brilliantly true to the character, made even better by Jaime's reaction. I'll miss Olenna and Rigg; this was the best sendoff I could have asked for.
Bad: - While I liked the character-over-action stance, I was seriously underwhelmed by the Casterly Rock battle. I really didn't like the Tyrion narration, a technique I don't think the show has used before - and never should again. It robbed the scene of any force or impact. What little action we did see looked like a rushed cobble-something-together job. I get that it wasn't meant to be a big victorious moment, but it was still disappointing.
- Ugh, Bran is the fucking worst. And Wright is awful. Like seriously, what the fuck? He's barely a character anymore, just an utterly monotone and weirdly creepy piece of cardboard.

Rather slow episode but it had plenty of drama and tiny of bits levity. Dany and Jon scene was brilliant. Sansa and Bran re-union is so unexpected that it made me emotional.
Dany must be careful in handling things from now. I hope nothing serious happens to her dragons especially Drogon.

Fuck Euron Greyjoy
I will be saying that until he dies...soon....please let it be soon. He's just awful. It's an awful character portrayed in the most obviously awful way I could imagine. God he sucks.
Leaving the the worst of the episode and any episode he has and will be involved in behind, this was overall another winner of an episode. I honestly can't recall when Thrones last had a run of three such strong episodes.
Cersei was dynamite, especially in her latest act of revenge. I know she'll be dead by Seasons end, or I just feel it, but I'll continue to enjoy her insanity while it lasts.
The final scene was the highlight of the Season so far. How fine it was to see the return of the decent side of Jaime and the fierceness of Olenna right in her final few minutes.
Tyrion was more Tyrion than he has been since he involved himself with the Queen of Tedium. Speaking of, her meeting with the King of Tedium wasn't as tedious as I expected. It actually ended up being good...emphasis on the word good. It probably played out in the most sensible way possible from the writers standpoint.
This weeks episode of Sansa and Littlefinger wasn't as shit as most recent episodes. Sansa and Bran reunited was weird and just failed and fell completely flat, which is a shame.
I'm with everyone else who has mentioned that Tyrion talking over the Casterly Rock scene didn't work. Sure I get the intention behind it, but it didn't come off.

Euron Greyjoy is fucking stupid and hilarious, I fucking hate not hating him
It was a great solid episode. I really hope they manage to keep this consistency. What the hell happened to Bran though? Was it bad the fact that he downloaded centuries of information into his brain? Is this the only explanation for his bad "acting"?

Euron's definitely a divisive character, but I relish every second he's on-screen. Guy's having an absolute ball and I love it.
Man, this season's running a breakneck speed to the finale, ain't it?

Finally caught this last night.
The Brilliant: -I AM ALWAYS DOWN FOR A JOFFREY CHEAPSHOT. But in general that ending scene was fantastic
-Euron is amazing in every sense of the word.
The Good: -Jon & Dany meet-up. When they first met, I couldn't help myself to sing 'And IIIIIIIIII, will always love youuuuouou'. Their encounters were great and to the point which was awesome.
-Tyrion finally able to properly mitigate deals and encounters like the old days.
-Cersei's revenge scenes were stellar and honestly pretty spine-chilling.
-Jaime and the army abandon post and capture Highgarden, I wish we saw a little of that though
The Bad/Aight: -Tyrion's narration, at first I loved it. I was thinking his last line of that voice-over was going to be "Give me ten men and let's impregnate the bitch" and the fighting would go on and all you hear are the shings, clings and dings of battle (That would have been flipping fantastic). But he just kept going on and on.
-Jorah on his way to moon-face over Daenerys once again is something I'm not looking forward too.
But Seriously as far as recollection serves, this was the best shot episode ever...?

Absolutely loving the hell out of it. All of them are crushing it, like all of them. Even the Euron guy improved a bit.
Seriously, Monday mornings are the best. First Twin Peaks, then this. ❤

Easily the best episode of the season so far. I can't really find any major flaws in it; just brilliant across the board.

I really dug the concluding battle sequence, but really disliked the ambiguity of its casualties. The rest of the episode had some saving grace moments: Davos' "Fewer" callback was glorious, and the entrance into the mines under Dragonstone was a cool little moment elevated by the score. I wasn't really feeling the rest of this episode, though. The sudden sexual tension between Jon and Dany has the nature of a middle school crush; the jarring close-ups of Bran and Littlefinger during their conversion was strange beyond belief; the "bit" with the insufferably stupid Winterfell guards really did not need to happen; even the Arya/Sansa reunion was underwhelming, despite the fact that I had been highly anticipating that moment. I don't know ... it was fine, but a whole lot of it felt like a waste of time with some bizarre execution. This season is both hurtling forward far too quickly and not doing enough to further itself towards the conclusion. It's really starting to feel like they still should have had ten episodes each for the final two seasons.

I have to be at work at 6 tomorrow morning and I can't sleep because of this. There was so much jumping out of the way at the last second and saving each other at the most dire second. It's turned into The Fate of the Furious, but not because dragons and I have now become incoherent which was what I was worried about at the beginning of this post because I have so many thoughts about so many things. Anywho great episode and this post sucks and I'.
