Reviews are excellent, but I imagine it's going to be divisive. I get to see it in theaters for free though, thanks to my review card. Aronofsky never fails on the interesting scale too.

Zacharek's review has been changed to negative and after reading the Variety review, I'm thinking the same may happen with that one too.

Metacritic hasn't updated in a while, but it's down to 75% on rottentomatoes. Not a bad score by any means, but on the lower end as an Oscar hopeful. This is probably not going to be nominated for anything.

And if the parents guide on IMDb is true, then it sounds like Jennifer Lawrence can no longer do this fistpump of modesty she did at the 2013 Oscars.

I just saw the film last night.
And yeah, far out, this movie will divide audiences. I think I loved it? But honestly the last 45 minutes are so full on that it's hard to know what to think. It is SO exciting that this is a major studio film. Props to Paramount.

Deliciously devilish and sly, putting those feline like features to good work once again. I hope she gets some attention. Lawrence also does very well with a very difficult role. Perfectly cast.

Interesting. I'd have:
Lawrence Bardem Pfeiffer Harris
The last 45 minutes elevate it to a distinct work of art.

Cinematography is quite subtle but incredibly technically accomplished and very beautiful. I would love to see Libatique nominated because it's not overtly showy, but serves the story incredibly well and is quite astounding. There is no score, but Johann Johansson was the consultant of the sound design, which is quite striking and helps drive the tension. Absolutely deserves recognition. I see it being in my end of year line-ups for Picture, Director, Supporting Actress, Cinematography, Production Design, Editing and Sound.

The budget is reportedly 30 million . Wonder if it'll make a profit. (doubtful imo). Plus as Ryan pointed out, the cinemascore is an F (Overall I did find the film to be interesting) 7/10
