Real talk: Is there any English-language performer who is more overdue for their first nomination than Kirsten Dunst? The only other person who is coming to mind for me is Ewan McGregor. Jeff Daniels.

Tyler asked for any English language performer and we get 0 PoC?........look at yourselves in the mirror MAR because your racism makes decent people weep .........j/k ............on another note I think he may be a stealth pick this year though .......and I think his movie may overperform too ............just taking a flying fnck at a rolling donut....... How do you feel about my comments overall though - kind of thought provoking, no?

Not my real predictions but thinking about a possible (or not at all possible?) oldest group of nominees ever.... :
Judi Dench, Belfast Meryl Streep, Don't Look Up Rita Moreno, West Side Story Ann Dowd, Mass Fran, Macbeth

Get out of here with your Kathryn Hunter erasure. I assumed she was much younger, a forgivable mistake!

Rita is getting good notices. I wonder if it is enough to pull off a nod.

Moreno’s got one of the best narratives I’ve seen in a hot minute lmao. I can totally see her happening.

Moreno love is through the roof. Could definitely see her breaking through, especially in the early awards.

Moreno actually is a problem for Hunter - who already had some problems getting in (maybe) - from what I understand it's the same "type" of performance - small, distinct, stands out in the category..........it's sort of that Dinklage/Garfield thing in Actor where can two guys from musicals get in the top 5 etc. - on the surface it looks like either or but not both in each case (?)

I’m honestly thinking both Rita and Debose are going to make it but that makes it hard for who to leave out of my predictions for the other three… right now I think Dunst, Ellis and Balfe but like 5 other women are making a lot of sense too.

With the Nightmare Alley reactions/reviews being what they are, Moreno's path has definitely gotten easier.

I'm still trying to figure it out, she could be like anywhere from 4th-10th tbh.

After seeing Power of the Dog today I’ve completely lost confidence in Dunst. Maybe if the film is really loved and over performs she can get a coattail nom. It wouldn’t be as bad as Weaver for SLP but it’d only be a few notches above that.

I guess for now something like… Balfe Ellis Dench Blanchett Moreno I’m sure I’ll change these many times though.

Interesting, I actually think Dunst is probably Top 3, but I agree that this is definitely a hard category to get a read on.

I’ll adjust and put her back in my predictions as the season goes along if it’s looking that way. I’m really just going off of my own impression of her performance right now.

The best part about this award season is that Meryl is nowhere to be seen.
