Get out of here with your Kathryn Hunter erasure. I assumed she was much younger, a forgivable mistake! Moreno actually is a problem for Hunter - who already had some problems getting in (maybe) - from what I understand it's the same "type" of performance - small, distinct, stands out in the category..........it's sort of that Dinklage/Garfield thing in Actor where can two guys from musicals get in the top 5 etc. - on the surface it looks like either or but not both in each case (?) |

I’m honestly thinking both Rita and Debose are going to make it but that makes it hard for who to leave out of my predictions for the other three… right now I think Dunst, Ellis and Balfe but like 5 other women are making a lot of sense too.

After seeing Power of the Dog today I’ve completely lost confidence in Dunst. Maybe if the film is really loved and over performs she can get a coattail nom. It wouldn’t be as bad as Weaver for SLP but it’d only be a few notches above that.
