Oh wow, it's not like me not to do my early-ass, sight-unseen predix:
Golden Lion: Reflection Grand Prix: The Hand of God Special Jury Prize: Freaks Out Silver Lion for Best Director: Ana Lily Amirpour, Mona Lisa and The Blood Moon Volpi Cup for Best Actor: Tomasz Ziętek, Leave No Traces Volpi Cup for Best Actress: Anamaria Vartolomei, The Happening Best Screenplay: Spencer Marcello Mastroianni Award: Kodi Smit-McPhee, The Power of the Dog

Sounds like Spencer is a more immersive film and a bigger directorial achievement than Jackie, which won Screenplay. I'd predict it for Best Director, where it is my early-ass, sight-unseen alternate.
My hype is increasing, this lineup sounds like an exciting one!

I can see Netflix having 3 BP nominees with The Hand of God in the mix, and Sorrentino a potential threat for a nomination in Directing.

Just out of The Power of The Dog. Ask away on that and on Pedro. Predicted nominations and win equity? Nominations: many. I can easily see Picture, Director, Actor, Supporting Actress, Adapted Screenplay, Cinematography, Costume, Production Design. More doubtful on the rest. Wins… eh, I don’t know. The film is a veeeery slow burn. Cumberbatch is terrific, but he needs to sweep the critics awards to have a chance.

Pedro's film gets excellent reviews. Lots of praise for Cruz, one review calls her work a "career-best".

How is my girl Kiki Dunst in The Power of the Dog, also?

The Hand of God is an incredible movie. Sorrentino's kind of hit-and-miss with me, but I am hopeful this isn't another The Great Beauty.
