Tonight really gave a boost to The Hand of God which I can see now getting a BP nomination. Same for Gyllenhaal in Screenplay.

The Lost Daughter is adapted, right??? Yeah from an Elena Ferrante novel. I can totally see Gyllenhaal get nominated since the field is kinda weak.

The Lost Daughter got acclaim out of Telluride so I think Picture, Adapted Screenplay, Actress are possible noms.

Kind of an Iris situation. You mean Jessie Buckley? I haven’t seen the movie so I don’t know. I read good things about her.

Penelope Cruz's acceptance speech where she mentions Pilar Bardem's last words to her -- man, that got me right in the heart.

Yes because we all know Frances McDormand was done after losing the Volpi Cup to Vanessa Kirby.
Please can we wait on the nonsense speculation calls until at least the overvalued (when announced) critic awards?
Please, nobody is saying Stewart is done cause she didn't win this award. Some of you are declaring her the winner all because of a bunch of Twitter hype. Please. In what universe is Stewart just a bunch of Twitter hype??

Word has it that Campion, Gyllenhaal, Cruz, Servillo, and Sorrentino have been seen on the Lido. I'm thinking maybe Campion for Director and Gyllenhaal for Screenplay. Well would you look at that.

Penelope Cruz's acceptance speech where she mentions Pilar Bardem's last words to her -- man, that got me right in the heart. It would be such a great moment if both Cruz and Bardem got nominated this year.

Meanwhile we're not getting Spencer until Jan 25th Sorry to hear that... Kind of surprising given how popular Kristen Stewart (and Princess Diana) is globally. I hope I'll have nothing but good news to report back next week.
