Top 50 Voice Performances Presentation [COMPLETED]

Housekeeping:

• This poll ran back on the old Movie Awards / Oscar Buzz forum in 2015. After some discussion, it had very strict eligibility where puppetry and motion capture didn’t count, as well as the performance had to be 100% voice work (the actor never seen on screen). That’s no fun so this was spread wide open this time. Because of this, there will be some welcome new appearance that may be surprising this go around, and each performance has their 2015 poll placement listed if applicable.

• I also absentmindedly forgot to clarify voters listing specific films for performers who have appeared in a franchise. Most voters listed the series so I have done this on a character basis. Sorry for any confusion!

Trivia: When Woody and Jessie are exiting out of the airplane, originally it was going to be Jessie who slips and Woody saves her. However, Joan Cusack who voices Jessie, suggested to the director and writers that Jessie should save Woody to show the courage and strength of her character.

He also cites Hackman's performance as the key inspiration for his Emmy and Golden Globe-winning work playing NBC executive Jack Donaghy on 30 Rock: "All actors have debts to other actors. Mine is to the great Gene Hackman. Without Royal Tenenbaum, there’d be no map to Jack D.”
