Did I really forget to vote for Gandolfini in Where the Wild Things Are? But Levine (my #1) in the top 10 and Sutherland (my #2) in the top 5 are things of beauty. Great work cheesecake! And great results overall too.

The lack of either of the Plague Dogs, is as cruel as that film's ending.

Wow, I'm actually surprised that Irons was #1. Huge upset, there. I'm also impressed that Sutherland made it as far as he did. This was a awesome presentation. Great job cheesecake.

Jeremy Irons, the sexiest voice in cinema. I have listened to hours ( ) of interviews just to hear these soothing low registers. Disney villains were a bit slighted here but we gave the #1 villain his rightful #1 spot. Long live the King! Lovely presentation, cheesecake. Thanks for putting it together.

Very pleased with the results (especially for Sutherland and Levine making this high) and the presentation was just amazing. Thank you, cheesecake.

I love that Hunter made it so far. I love it even more than DeGeneres dropped so much. Marlon >>>>>> Dory all day. If you're going to slate Dory like that, at least get Marlin's name right

First of all, never heard of Woods in Hercules and I think I'm his biggest fan on the board?? What the!! Also, awesome trivia. I had Dourif crazy high on my list , but not #1 (a true hero of the board whoever it is!). Crackly freaky unforgettable voice... It was me. I'm really shocked he didn't place much higher. I figured he'd make almost everyone's list.

Great presentation! This was a very fun poll and I'm glad I participated. The results are pretty good, even though only five of my choices made the list. But, some of the performances missing are strange, like Clarence Nash for voicing Donald Duck, which is one of the most iconic voice performances ever. But most of my picks were pretty bizarre, so I didn't expect them to turn up here. Anyway, great job cheesecake!

I think that Donald Duck was left out because nobody (myself included) thinks of him as a full length movie character, even though he starred in several. He was more of a short cartoon star, like Bugs Bunny or Daffy Duck. Also, short cartoon stars are, by their nature, not as fully developed as the characters that make this list. I think you'll find that every one of them has a clear narrative arc, while Donald is a mascot, a collection of quirks. Compare that to any of the Disney villains that make this list and regardless of how good Nash's performance is, he's not going to remembered as fondly as Scar or Frollo. Scar and Frollo have scripts making them fascinating, while Donald doesn't. Edit: The exception to this rule is that we have at least three narrators on this list. Which confuses me, as they really aren't amazing at the voice work and their scripts are not necessarily that interesting, so... that's a hole in my theory.

Donald Duck definitely isn't a fleshed out character, but his voice work is iconic and instantly recognisable, probably the most of any other Disney character. That and the fact that he was a big favourite of mine when I was a kid, meant that I absolutely had to include him on my list. I was just surprised that I was probably the only one to include him. Yeah, I also am pretty puzzled about the narration thing. Narrations are generally something impersonal, so they are definitely not in the same level as voiced characters, at least for me. With that said, I did include something similar in my list, but that was less a narration and more of a satirical commentary on the story. (VJ Emmie - Who Killed Captain Alex?)

I liked Sutherland a lot, but I've said this countless times here. That was William Hurt's role. I can't think of role more fitting of one person besides Sorvino for Leaving Las Vegas. Would've been the first voice performance to win an Oscar.

Had no idea this was presented already, so some quick thoughts: - Sad to see that Alan Tudyk in I, Robot and Andy Serkis for any of the recent Planet of the Apes trilogy missed the cut. My #2 and #1 respectively, and absolutely brilliant work. Serkis is even my Lead win for 2017 and would probably make my top ten for the last decade. - LOVE that James Gandolfini made it, and such a beautiful piece of trivia as well. I haven't seen The Sopranos still, but so far it's my favorite performance from him as well. Also cheers to whoever else put him at #5 - LOOOOOVE that Ted Levine made the top ten. Maybe one of the most terrifying villains of all-time, yet you never even see his face. Brilliant work. And cheesecake I absolutely agree, I haven't seen the film in years, but it was one of my absolute favorites when I was younger. Dying to watch it again. So underrated. Kiefer also making the top 10 is pretty awesome (as he made mine), but I kind of wish he and Levine swapped. - HOW THE HELL did Serkis not AT LEAST make the top ten?!?! That's insane to me. Easily the best work in film if you ask me, considering we're counting mo-cap. - Glad to see Mark Hamill made it, especially since I haven't seen Mask of the Phantasm yet, but his work on the original TV series and especially in the Arkham video games are easily my favorite voice work ever. Had they been eligible, I absolutely would have voted for him. - YAY for Fleischer, Kitt, Gerson, McCambridge, Bird, and Noonan making it as well. Also just watched The Rescuers for the first time the other night and totally okay with Geraldine Page making the cut. - Totally shocked that Joan Cusack, Jason Lee, Elizabeth Hartman, and especially Peter O'Toole missed out the first time. Glad that was remedied here. They are *iconic*, especially O'Toole (been a long while since I've seen The Secret of NIMH though). - Realizing that I've not seen a good amount of these yet and about half of the list I desperately need to re-watch their films (like The Lion King, The Secret of NIMH, and Aladdin). - Others on my list that missed the cut (and their placements for me): 11. Bill Nighy - Rango. 12. Ginnifer Goodwin - Zootopia. 15. Robin Williams - Robots. 16. Danny Elfman - The Nightmare Before Christmas. 17. Amy Poehler - Inside Out. 18. Nick Mancuso - Black Christmas. 19. Toby Kebbell - Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. 20. Jake Johnson - Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. 22. Jason Schwartzman - Fantastic Mr. Fox. 23. George Clooney - Fantastic Mr. Fox. 24. Brian Tyree Henry - Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. 25. Seth Rogen - Monsters vs. Aliens. Thanks for running this cheesecake ! My brain just completely blocked out Serkis because it was mo-cap. He didn't even occur to me and I felt so guilty when I saw him pop up in the presentation Next time.
