For the past 5-6 years I've watched pretty much strictly horror during the month of October (the most wonderful time of year), which is right around the corner now. I'll be posting the ones I watch in this thread, not sure how many I'll get to but seeing 31 would be sweet. Feel free to post your own spooky watches here and leave thoughts/discuss.
Seen:
1. The Seventh Victim (1943) - 5/10 2. Lisa and the Devil (1973) - 4/10 3. Your Vice is a Locked Room and Only I Have the Key (1972) - 2/10 4. Peeping Tom (1960) - 7/10 5. Night of the Demon (1957) - 7/10 6. Planet of the Vampires (1965) - 4/10 7. Tales from the Crypt (1972) - 6/10 8. Pulse (2001) - 8/10 9. A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (2014) - 6/10 10. Halloween 2 (2009) - 6/10

On Halloween, I'll do the same thing I always do...
The Exorcist. Alien. The Thing.
As for the month itself, I think both Apostle and the Jeffrey Wright horror comes on Netflix. I'll be checking those two out.

I'm gonna make this a horror month for me too. I've never done that, but there's a lot I need to catch up on and this is the perfect excuse to stop procrastinating and do it.

extremely unlikely I'll be able to finish all of these in October, so I'll probably continue into November.

@tepebenjamin
Just wanted to give an extra shout to The Terror which is last on your list. A friend and I watched it on a whim a couple Octobers ago among this massive box-set of old horror films he found and it was fantastic. It's got that ridiculous Corman vibe about it in some parts, but for the majority of the film it works has a legit sense of atmosphere and tension that I didn't expect, and some nice performances from the main trio with some great twists and turns. Loved it.
Also, last year I watched Alice Sweet Alice, Ringu, and House on Haunted Hill (1959) and they're all pretty solid, with Ringu being my favorite of them. I don't know what it is, but horror films from the Asian market are just so damn well-executed and have these insanely creepy atmospheres about them - Ringu is no exception. Alice, for feeling super-duper low-budget, manages to give you the heebie-jeebies with some strong child acting, and Haunted Hill is a bit ridiculous and there's not much of a plot, but it's fun and the acting is strong.
Do hope to get around to Ju-on this year as I meant to when I was watching Ringu last year. Especially now that I work for the company that re-booted it, it feels fitting!

I looooove this month mainly because I'll hold off on watching any horror all the rest of the year so I can get in a real creepy mood in time for Halloween. It's probably my favorite time of the year.
There are some definite ones I'm planning to check out, but I may update my list with others as the month goes on as some are just ones I watch on a whim:
Halloween series (only seen the first and want to watch the rest before the reboot/sequel). Frankenstein (1931) - Meant to watch this last year after finishing the novel, but got busy and didn't finish the novel so I hope to rectify that this year. Bride of Frankenstein (1935). Ju-on: The Grudge (2002). The Ring (2002). Day of the Dead (1985) - Just to keep in line with having watched one entry in Romero's series each October so far. Vampyr (1932). The Fly (1958). Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956). Eyes Without a Face (1960).

I mean, they're not all bad, but the ones that are...are bad. Vampyr on the other hand is great, borderline fantastic. My second or third favorite from Dreyer.

I have a big ol' tentative list of Oct horrors to pick from but I'll post here the ones on Amazon Prime I haven't seen and might watch - any fans of these?? Return of the Living Dead (91m) This is my favorite horror movie, here's what I recently wrote about it on Letterboxd: When it comes to horror movies, conveying a potent atmosphere - of dread, unreality, suspense, otherworldly evil, or the Halloween season - is typically pretty vital to the lifeblood of the thing (for me, anyway). We’ve sure got it here. Return of the Living Dead excels as an example of spooky, uninhibited fun, absolutely *nailing* the balance between comedy and horror. It's an impressively well crafted blast from start to finish - creepy and morbid, thrilling, funny (sometimes in a "this is so scary/bizarre/deranged that my mind isn't really sure how to react so I'm laughing" type of way - and honestly, this is a big part of what horror is all about for me), and, as mentioned earlier, nicely atmospheric. It’s a party. Fulci is hit or miss for me but Don't Torture a Duckling is definitely one of his stronger efforts. Your Vice is a Locked Room is on my tentative Watchlist for the month too.

I plan to rewatch The Ring and watch The Ring 2 for the first time. Might even check out the original film while I'm at it!
Just watched The Thing the other day. Masterpiece.

Just watched The Thing the other day. Masterpiece. I've never been as scared watching a movie as I was seeing the dog kennel scene for the first time when I was 10 or 11. Really excellent movie.

Just watched The Return of the Living Dead... pretty wild. Tons of fun and manages to balance comedy (mainly in the hilarious first 20 minutes or so) and genuinely creepy stuff incredibly well.
Great start to the month.

Motel Hell - Decent enough concept with a few funny/creepy moments, but didn’t totally work for me. 6/10.
Schramm - fucking brutal... I’ll be thinking about this one for a while. 8.5/10.
