I think people sometimes underestimate how Oscary the BAFTAS are, at least I’m non jury categories. They usually just go with 4 of the top 5 films and something British. They have really changed in the last decade or so.

Some major shockers here. No Barbie in Picture, no Scorsese/DiCaprio/Gladstone, no Lanthimos/Ruffalo, massive Maestro and Holdovers love, no Andrew Scott, three Saltburn acting nods.

They nominated Haigh for director, Foy and Mescal, but Andrew Scott blanked??? They also snubbed Greta Lee but nominated Teo Yoo??? Can this shit be more random?

So Killers of the Flower Moon got NO major nominations, no screenplay, no director, no acting, but gets a Best Film nomination? um aside from DeNiro, obviously... He's just so good he singlehandedly makes it best film worthy.

You redcoats giving justifiable career wins nowadays........... or are you going to deny this Acing Beast his rightful CRAPTA BAFTA yet again?

So The Holdovers really did dominate here (Payne beat out Scorsese and Lanthimos both). It's just picking up steam. Sessa's not even outside the realm of possibility for that Oscar fifth slot, especially with no consistency with the Poor Things boys.

So the only people who got in all precursors are Giamatti, Murphy, Cooper, Domingo, Stone, Mulligan, Robbie, RDJ, Gosling, De Niro, Randolph, Blunt and Brooks.
Someone in this lot is bound to be snubbed
