The second of our two presentations will start here, in 7 hours time. As with the ladies it'll be a Top 50; and again, I promise it'll be done in less then 3 hours.
Predictions for the Top 5 / 10 or 50 if someone is brave enough ?

Dying to see if Denzel will rank higher than Pacino Haha of course he will not. There is a Pacino Vs DDL Vs Denzel thread on the poll section, Pacino has much more votes, so it won't change much here. I see Pacino as a top 3 (even if he has his naysayers). Not sure if Denzel will be Top 15. I think Joaquin Phoenix will be the actor ranked too high this time (it was Brad Pitt during the similar IMDB poll), he got nothing but love these days.

I would love to see one argument on this board in Denzel Washington's favor over Al Pacino on film for acting talent.
We can't have it because it always degenerates but the guys better than Pacino (arguably) are the guys far more different from him than Denzel Washington is.
Washington is too close as an actor to being an heir Al Pacino to ever be considered greater than the guy he's that much like - they play cops, they dominate their films, they love Shakespeare, they are iconic, they are very fine at what they've done but Denzel Washington, aside from box office success really, a popularity contest, comes up short. They have some other differences but in effect it comes down to that and, to me, it's not enough.
Now that doesn't mean he won't win our poll - I'm sure there'll be ballot box stuffing that would curdle your blood, lol - but it's all in good fun.
Let the pigeons loose.........

Curious to see the droppage if any for Spacey and Dustin Hoffman too. I'd be very surprised if Spacey manages to make the list at all. Hoffman will probably get in, though, and probably not drop much from where he was before.

pacinoyes stephen or anyone.... I don't suppose either of you have, or know a location for the previous list? I would love to add it to this thread before I present the new one. I can literally only remember that it was 1) Newman 2) Lemmon.

(Which would entail remembering their username, hoping they didn't self-delete, etc., etc.)

Alright let's see Richard Attenborough rank as high as possible. I have two clips ready this if he makes it in the top 25:
and this if he doesn't:
Don't make me use the second one, oh and they also happen to be a great show of the man's incredible range.

Shame so much of his work remains unseen by most, and only really knowing him as just the director of Gandhi, or for playing John Hammond and Santa Claus. If everyone here saw 10 Rillington Place, I don't think his placement would be a problem.

We've had dozens, if not hundreds of those arguments over the years Pac. Many people (who understand acting) legit think Denzel is more talented than Pacino (on film, stage, whatever), and I'm sure the same holds true visa versa. Saying it ain't so because I feel that way, will never change anyone's mind They are both all-time greats and among the most decorated actors who ever lived. It's hardly an affront to Pacino to consider Washington more talented, and the same holds true in reverse. It's all opinions at the end of the day.

I think Pacinoyes completely lost it since his amazing one man show during the last awards season, it was fun discussing with him about Denzel before but now it's bullsh/t after bullsh/t, not interesting anymore. Would like to see John Hurt (high) on the list, he's rarely one of the first names that people mention when it comes to the Brit's giants but I consider him to be among the finest.

Curious to see the droppage if any for Spacey and Dustin Hoffman too. I've put them on my list . They may be disgusting swines but they're still magnificent actors . That being said , I have no problem with some people in the industry turning their back on them (especially in Spacey's case) . I have no sympathy at all for pervs and child molesters.

So thanks to the industrious ingmarhepburn I have been able to add to the presentation, our Actors finishing position where applicable, from the previous list. Shout-out to Mitch for running these the previous time. I'll post the full previous lists for the actors and actresses later or tomorrow along side the new ones. Still plan to start in just under 90 minutes.

Like last time, I'll be presenting a Top 50, with the first 25 Actors being announced over 5 posts of mostly 5 (damn ties)
Once the first 25 Actors are covered, I will then be announcing the Top 25, one Gentleman at a time. Mercifully we one only have the one tie in the Top 25.
