Gorgeous as ever, Gosling is the man. Deakins´ work in this film has most likely all the ingredients to be his best work. And I´m also digging Johansson´s score. This trailer may be a bit spoilery, but well, I trust in Villeneuve, the man knows how to surprise me. Can´t fucking wait

Can´t fucking wait That doesn't necessarily sound like Johansson's score as much as it features remixes of part of Vangelis score from the original. It may be in the film as well, though.

Good trailer, though the typical rapid cutting isn't my thing, and too much Leto at this point kinda annoys me, but the trailer clearly shows us what what the film is about. I see Decker's role in the film may have to do with a shocking secret from the looks of it, since characters both good and bad are after him. Plus those visuals.

I guess the score will be something in the middle - something new and refreshing, but not far from the magic of Vangeli´s score in the original film.

Eh... No one is looking forward to this more than I am, and all of the talent attached suggests that it will be something phenomenal, but the last couple of trailers are just putting me off a bit. I'm still not on board with the entire story seemingly based around uncovering some big "secret"; it just feels like they're gonna ruin the existing mythology with a ton of unnecessary twists. I don't know, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. I'm also not a fan of how it seems they're upping the scale of the story. The first film thrives off of being this self-contained detective story, that I'm not sure how such a change of pace will play in this universe. I mean, I know they shouldn't just re-make the first movie, but this is veering dangerously close to generic blockbuster territory. Who knows. I'm cautiously hyped. After all, the visuals and cinematography still look gorgeous as anticipated, so I'll be in that theater ASAP no matter what.

The cinematography and production design keep impressing the absolute hell out of me with every successive morsel of footage, but I do worry they are giving too much away at this point. I'm hoping much of the promotional material is a misdirect; I don't want this film to be heavily reliant on twists.

It'll probably be electronic heavy like all of the Johansson / Villeneuve collaborations.

Good to know that it seems Zimmer is merely contributing, rather than replacing Johansson's work.

Goddamnit! Hans has written some of my favorite film scores, and his impact and influence is to be commended (even though I hate that everyone, even himself, are taking all the wrong lessons from them), but he is getting so lazy, repetitive, and relentlessly bulky and pounding in his writing nowadays. This might have just made less excited for the movie. Hopefully his involvement is kept to a minimum.

It´s probably a mere contribution, Johansson still has his talent and vision strongly ingrained into the score

New TV spot (which is kind of a badass trailer)

Is the movie really that action packed or are they marketing it as one?

I have the sense that the finished film will be far less action-oriented than the trailers suggest; remember how the Assassination of Jesse James trailers emphasized the action?
In any case, it looks resplendent.

Is the movie really that action packed or are they marketing it as one? According to an early screening, basically all the action is in the trailers. The film is otherwise very slow burn, 150 minutes long.

In any case, it looks resplendent. Yep, not much more action than what is already showcased in the trailers, going by the screening reactions.

I refuse to watch anymore of the trailers/footage. I really want to see it as "cold" as possible without too many spoilers. It is, after all, my most anticipated film of 2017!

I'm liking the premise behind this less and less with the more that is revealed, which is making me increasingly wary that this could very well be a disaster. But it still looks visually magnificent and for that this film continues to make perfect trailer-material.
