Would be funny if after all the talk about how Timmy could beat Brody's record, Adrien himself just comes along and wins #2.

Would be funny if after all the talk about how Timmy could beat Brody's record, Adrien himself just comes along and wins #2. If that happened, that would mean Cage would be the only 2002 Best Actor nominee who didn't have multiple Oscars. And that would need to get remedied immediately.

Domingo Chalemet Feinnes Craig Brody
Feels like a good 5 right now. Turning into a strong year. Washington is getting good reviews but this 5 + Phoenix and Stan and any other surprised that might pop up will be tough to crack.

If the year keeps getting this good, I would get more wary of Chalamet's chances. I'm not getting why we have to be so sure of him sight unseen. He's nowhere near any of these veterans career-wise and I don't get why the industry is supposed to be "this" eager to acknowledge him.

It's the only traditional biopic in contention, that counts for a lot.

Craig, Fiennes, Brody, Domingo, Chalamet.
This seems right to me.

Craig, Fiennes, Brody, Domingo, Chalamet. This seems right to me. I have The Brutalist as a massive player across the board, including potentially our Best Supporting Actor winner . . . if we can confirm who's pushing it domestically.

Now the reviews are out, I think Craig is the closes thing the category has to a lock and I expect him to campaign heavily.
Chalamet Craig Domingo Eisenberg Garfield

Searchlight are not going to push Eisenberg over Chalamet.

It's stupid that the same weak campaigner of a studio is backing Craig, Brody, and Domingo, but if any year a studio could get multiple actor contenders in, it COULD be this. Just saying...

Call it my Scott bias, but I still think Mescal is being underestimated here for a nomination. The last film won Best Picture and netted its lead the Best Actor win, it's probably drawing the acting branch's attention by default due to Denzel's presence, and Mescal is on a meteoric rise and this is going to be the determining factor if he can add "bankable movie star" to his list of achievements.
If Gladiator II hits, it's hard to imagine a world where Paul Mescal doesn't come along for the ride. He got in for Aftersun so he's on their radar.
Right now I'd say Brody, Chalamet, Domingo, Fiennes, Mescal. Craig as the alternate.

I read that everyone might go Supporting for Here. For the razzies? Oh don't worry, I don't think it gets in anywhere except for maybeeeeee Wright.
