Speaking of over/unders I have a little cheat code for you guys. I have made a fuckton of money the past couple days betting all the unders. Since the quality of play in this league is so low, all you gotta do is bet the under on points and the over on rebounds and turnovers. Obviously this does not apply to any game involving “that white bitch” as I learned the hard way last night

Over/Under on a permanent ban, because clearly no lessons have been learned You should be permanently banned for constantly instigating flame wars, bad faith arguments, shitstirring, insufferable shilling, trolling, and sock evasion.

Angel Reese is a walking double-double in the WNBA, like she was in college. Reese scored her 4th double-double of the season in Chicago Sky's loss to Atlanta Dream. If she continues this form, it'll be hard to deny her Rookie Of The Year.

Angel is developing and getting better in-season. One of the critiques of her offensive game has been her field goal efficiency and the last two games she's shot 50% and 80% FG percentage. Tina Charles, a future HOFer and one of the greatest players in WNBA history talked to her after the Chicago Sky and Atlanta Dream played and told her to slow down and take her time when finishing around the basket. Looks like she's been working on that in the gym. I knew her defense and rebounding would translate from college but I'm surprised how quickly she's adapted to the speed and physicality of the bigs in the league.

27 straight years of the WNBA losing money with the NBA bailing them out - 27 years - f'n Patriarchy ammirite? .......hey what other athlete ever in ANY team sport accounted for 1/3 of a league's overall ticket sales? Right, nobody, ever - in any team sport......pffft........what a shame Caitlin Clark can't play every fucking game I guess........

Caitlin Clark has had a really poor stretch of games, including the one today when her team, Indiana Fever actually won against Atlanta Dream. But that was all thanks the the efforts of Aliyah Boston, who had her best game of the season with 27 points and 13 rebounds. Boston has been much maligned by some fans of Clark for not being good enough to play with her, but she showed the reason she was Rookie Of The Year last season, and on form, may be the better option to run the offense through than Clark, who only scored 7 points and had 7 turnovers. The discourse around Clark not being selected for the USA Olympic team was ridiculous, as she currently isn't good enough.

How she got drafted at #7 seems ridiculous now, because she's comfortably the best of her Rookie class in the pro league. At worst, she should have been the #2 pick. It's like WNBA don't know how to scout properly.

It's like WNBA don't know how to scout properly. The WNBA teams for the most part don’t have the resources in their scouting teams and analytics departments to do a full complete assessment of a pro prospect like in the NBA. Usually they watch a players games on tv. Teresa Weatherspoon, the Chicago Sky head coach was a player at Louisiana Tech where Kim Mulkey was also an assistant coach. Mulkey, now a HOFer and LSU’s head coach had conversations with the Sky/Weatherspoon about Angel and her strengths/weaknesses and intangibles. Weatherspoon even came down to Baton Rouge to watch her play. So Angel was always their second target after Cordoso if Angel dropped that far, which she did. I think Angel landed in the perfect situation as far as fit. Weatherspoon is an excellent coach for how Angel plays. Ironically in a preseason poll, all the WNBA GMs voted Angel most likely as the steal of the draft, and that is definitely coming to pass.

Angel Reese recorded her 6th consecutive Double-Double in Chicago Sky's loss to Indiana Fever, tying the WNBA record for most consecutive Double-Double's by a rookie with Cindy Brown and Tina Charles. If Reese gets one more double-double in her next game, she will own the record outright.
Still the clear frontrunner for Rookie Of The Year. Her consistency is hard to beat.

A double-double isn’t impressive when you shoot 4-13 to eke out 11 points.

A double-double isn’t impressive when you shoot 4-13 to eke out 11 points. Disagree. Why is no other rookie doing it, if it's so easy/unimpressive? I don't think any other rookie has more than 2 double-double so far. Reese has 7, and has tied and is probably about to outright own a rookie record for a league that's almost 30 years old. That's fucking incredible and is rightly being celebrated and commended. She's a rookie, and is still learning the pro league. Her shooting efficiency will go up. She does paint and rim work in the off season, she'll be good for 20 + points and 10+ rebounds every game. Her potential is staggering. Don't know if she can get as good/dominant as A'ja Wilson, but her ceiling is high.

Yeah it's not lke she drops 20 and 15 - she drops 11 and 12 big deal ..... said this in the Clark thread - no player has EVER had Clark's depth of stats line in a full season - that's just an insane stat - not a rookie - but no player, ever and Clark hasn't come close to peakng yet ...........I think Cardoso may overtake Reese on that team ..........she can do more offensvely imo ......btw you guys in Chicago get to see another good rookie this week - Aaliyah Edwards on Washington

This isn't a record. There are 28 games or so left in the season, which is why averages like that drop at the end. Smoke and mirrors.
Angel Reese has just tied and is likely about to outright own an actual WNBA record.

Oh she has the records too and she has them over 3 stats not just 2 ! - this one she'll tie after 1/3rd of a season

How random is that? 20 point game I get....but 5 rebounds and 5 assists? That's like making up a record for anything.
A Double-Double is a recognised basketball achievement in all of basketball ( NBA and WNBA). 20 points,5 assists and 5 rebounds is nice, but it's not a recognised thing. If Clark was getting the most triple-triples (ie 10+ points, 10+ assists and 10+ rebounds) for a rookie, then that would be doing something. But this is literally just cherrypicking stats to try and create a "record".
