DiCaprio being snubbed doesn't make any sense Because SAG has taste. Not if they nominated Cooper.

Anyway, guys, I got 5/5 on both lead categories... Would've been there too if I had stuck to my Domingo guns

The Holdovers didn't have any glaring miss but I would have expected Sessa to get in for it to be considered a real contender.

Jeremy Strong not getting in is madness, especially when they went for Cox instead. Love the Cruz nomination. She was brilliant. Yeah, Strong missing had me shook. Also, no Martin or Short. Yeah, this is nonsense. Cox shouldn't get in.

Idk why people believe Melton or Lee are done. SAG and the Oscars have terrible overlaps in recent years. Melton can't get BAFTA-nominated, and his momentum could get usurped by someone like Dafoe (a beloved veteran actor) in a stronger film.

Not if they nominated Cooper. Cooper's not great, but DiCaprio is actively awful. I'll take a Cooper nomination any day of the week over Karl Childers reborn.

You know what's up buddy - she's the fncking Queen * Last time: Penélope Cruz:
-Didn’t get a Golden Globe nod -Didn’t get a Critics Choice nod -Didn’t get a SAG nod -Didn’t even make the BAFTA *LONGLIST*
* This time I predict her for an Oscar nod in Octber ffs - off the trailer - because I just ..........um..........sensed it

DiCaprio is uneven in Killers, to say the least. But he is still 100% better than Cooper's shameless display. Sorry.

DiCaprio being snubbed doesn't make any sense Actually, it does. He's terrible in the film. It's one of his best performances ever. You are all like SAG actors, you don't understand anything about acting.

I got the worst fucking taste in the world since I love both Cooper AND DiCaprio!

Idk why people believe Melton or Lee are done. SAG and the Oscars have terrible overlaps in recent years. It just seems pretty unlikely for a new coming like him to get in with no Bafta or SAG. Especially when he didn’t give a clear stand out performance.

Efron >>> Cooper and DiCaprio

Oppenheimer hit everything it needed to, whilst KOTFM missed Leo, Barbie missed America, Poor Things missed ensemble and Holdovers missed ensemble and Sessa.
There really isn't a strong enough #2 to overtake an incoming Oppenheimer sweep.

I think we can put the Deniro doubt to rest barring a big surprise.
I'm predicting Cruz now. She's gotten in with much less.
Robbie is just a thing that will happen. Fantasia is done, Greta on life support. Still think Benning is just a SAG thing that will be replaced by Huller.

Two out of three trifecta is pretty strong.

Cooper's terrible.
Strong being snubbed is insane.

I mean Brian Tyree Henry and Judd Hirsch got nominated last year with absolutely nothing to their names. I wouldn’t completely write Melton and Sessa off right now.

Two out of three trifecta is pretty strong. I mean, Ethan Hawke was a prior Oscar nominee who won the whole trifecta and missed the Oscar nomination. It happens. Melton needed this. He's not completely dead but it's not looking good for him. May December by rights should've done decently here for both Melton and Moore, and it didn't. Could be its ceiling winds up being Screenplay by the end.

DiCaprio will swing back at the Oscars, no way they leave him, especially if Gladstone wins.
SAG voting body unlike the Academy is composed of a lot of extras and background actors who don't get his performance.

I mean Brian Tyree Henry and Judd Hirsch got nominated last year with absolutely nothing to their names. I wouldn’t completely write Melton and Sessa off right now. Hirsch was a prior Oscar-nominated legendary actor in a top five contender, and Henry was a hard-working actor on the rise who had appeared in awards-adjacent fare before. Melton and Sessa are not exactly on their tiers of recognizability.

No Poor Things or Holdovers in ensemble. To be fair, they are not the kind of typical ensembles which made in instead. More like three-fers.
