This is the first I'm hearing that it's a musical and that Queen Michelle Williams is in it. I'm so excited to see her branch out into something different. My curiosity is certainly piqued.

I love Michelle Williams.. Zac Efron looks interesting! But I think this movie will make me sleep & wake up several times while watching it! I hope not.. though.. for Michelle.. but this is probably gonna happen to me with this movie!!

Idk honestly this sounds very bland. I worry about this too, but I fear that it could be too over the top sort of like Moulin Rouge! but even more chaotic. I'm not sure if JayAgain has read the script or not. It seems like it could be potentially good screenplay because of Michael Arndt, but I don't know anything about Michael Gracey as the director. It worries me that this is his first film as a director, and that he won't have the advantage that comes with being a hyphenate director-screenwriter sometimes actor since I think that usually impresses people more. I also think with the same song writing team behind La La Land and of course coming so soon after La La Land's success that it's going to be compared unfavorably to that film, and there was already backlash to it, so I'm not sure that's a good sign for The Greatest Showman. I do think it will do well in technical nominations, and depending on how strong the Best Actor category turns out, I think that Jackman can get a second nomination especially with the success of Logan helping him. It could also sneak in to an expanded Best Picture lineup, but I don't think it will contend for any major wins.

Looks great. This sounds like it'll be the perfect role for Jackman.

The music seems horrible but it's not why I am waiting for this so who cares Yikes! Just watched the trailer, and I think it looks terrible. Maybe because I was expecting something flashy and potentially iconic like Moulin Rouge!, but it looks and sounds very generic. I mean some of the dialogue in Moulin Rouge! is probably cringe worthy, but at least it for me it worked in the context of the film being so over the top and also the film being over the top distracted from some of that dialogue too. Here the lines stick out in a really dumb way, "Every one of us is special. And nobody is like no one else." "No one ever made a difference by being like everyone else." I wasn't expected Shakespeare or anything, but I also wasn't expecting the trailer to make the film come off as Hugh Jackman being the new Coach of a ragtag team of underdogs who end up winning the big game for him either. The song didn't help either since it feels exactly like the kind of song that they would play in a trailer about the new Coach of a ragteam of underdogs who end up winning the big game for him.

Yeah, this looks and sounds like a karaoke version of something that could probably be a decent musical. Even visually things look flat.

Pretty average trailer with an odd music choice.

I'm upset. This was one of my most anticipated of the year and this trailer looks pretty bad. Jackman, Williams, and Efron look fine, but it just looks like Jango put it flat.

Lmao, that's a horrible music choice. The dialogue is insanely cheesy.

It doesn't look bad, just insanely average. The music choice is easily the worst part, and it's also quite dull visually. I'm still hoping it'll be good because I'm rooting for Hugh Jackman, but this is not a good start.
