Based on the trailer, it's time to remove this from any major predictions.

Well I like it and other Hugh fans like it but this could be 10h long movie about squirrel diarrhea and if he was somehow in it, we would be happy. I'm hoping Fox sees those horrific reactions - because they are truly horrific everywhere I look - and re-releases Logan closer to the Award season. Jesus their release dates are so stupid, first Eddie the Eagle (a movie no one can hate) now Logan (a fantastic film with added 'it's the last one' narrative) when it comes to robbing films and poor Jackman of possible award chances

Looks like familiar mediocrity packaged in pretty costumes.
The song sounds like a Glee cover. Hopefully that won't be the case for all of them.

I sort of miss the old boards right now because seeing the reaction that the trailer is causing in some people on the Internet due to the hero worship of PT Barnum, I could only imagine the kind of political fights that would have been started at the old board over it.
I didn't really consider that would be problematic beforehand although I'm not sure why I didn't because now it seems so obvious that a film glamorizing the deeds of a white male businessman of the 19th Century wasn't exactly going to play well to contemporary audiences, but seeing how this film is already getting dragged even at places like Reddit, which I consider to be more conservative generally, I can easily see Twitter and Tumblr coming after this film with pitch forks once it finally opens.

Not necessarily, they seem to like it over at tumblr with the whole diversity angle. I just wish they made it about some fictional dude and just draw comparisons to Barnum without explicitly stating it's him, I'm given to understand this is so loosely based on his life anyways and now they will have to deal with the whole 'glorification' controversy Thank God for Marvel's Inhumans trailer taking some of the 'what a terrible trailer' heat this week
