This is shaping up to become a very good year for cinema. Some pretty great films, some nice surprises and, overall, I'm quite pleased with what I've seen so far. Also, I'm always looking for recommendations. Here is my current top 10:
1. Stars At Noon (Claire Denis) 2. Crimes Of The Future (David Cronenberg) 3. Triangle Of Sadness (Ruben Ostlund) 4. Fast & Feel Love (Nawapol Thamrongrattanarit) 5. The Northman (Robert Eggers) 6. Emergency (Carey Williams) 7. Zanox (Gabor Beno Baranyi) 8. Ambulance (Michael Bay) 9. The Princess (Le Van Kiet) 10. Overdose (Olivier Marchal)
HMs: Blonde, Decision To Leave, Dual, The Girl On A Bulldozer, The Batman

1. Decision to Leave 2. Crimes of the Future 3. Nope 4. Stars at Noon 5. This Much I Know to Be True 6. Top Gun: Maverick 7. The Northman 8. Three Thousand Years of Longing 9. Mad God 10. Barbarian
Decent to good year so far - but with a lot of stuff that's been overhyped - and just about everything is too damn long.

recent additions have been Woman King, The Wonder and Benediction, all better than I was expecting, but I'm still on track to have a weak year if things don't turn around. Already at 80 films and only a couple I can say I'm passionate about.

1. Sundown (Franco) 2. Tar (Field) 3. Top Gun: Maverick (Kosinski) 4. The Banshees of Inisherin (McDonaugh) 5. The Northman (Eggers) 6. Vortex (Noe) 7. Pearl (West) 8. Kimi (Soderbergh) 9. Barbarian (Cregger) 10. The Batman (Reeves)
I still have about 15-20 movies to see before I'm satisfied with closing the book on this year.
