Rocks won for casting, which may be a pretty good sign for Ali in Supporting Actress and Bakray in Best Actress.
Ma Rainy's Black Bottom has a lot of strength in crafts areas, despite not getting that Best Picture nom at the Oscars. For some reason, this increases my confidence in Davis winning Best Actress at the Oscars

Ma Rainey's Black Bottom (MRBB) currently has 4 Guild wins this season. 2 SAG wins, 2 MUAH wins. I think the film has done awesome, despite no Best Picture nomination. The Industry has been giving it awards left and right.

Yeah, if there is a film that can win two acting Oscars without a BP nod, it's Ma Rainey.
Adapted Screenplay will be interesting. Can The Father upset?
I am interested to seeing the big 8 winners. The BAFTAs and Oscars have never lined up 8/8. The closest they got were 6 for 8. Also, their best film winner hasn't lined up with the Oscars since 12 Years A Slave. The Father winning here would be great news for Nomadland.
I really feel good about the Adapted Screenplay and Editing winners following suit at the Oscars. Feels like the perfect way to recognize a film they clearly liked with Adapted Screenplay, and Sound of Metal has muscle here and even though Trial is flashier, it's not that much more so than Sound of Metal.
