Aside from the obvious omission of Lee, I feel like Da 5 Bloods is actually on a lot of the long list. Picture, Lindo, Original Screenplay, Boseman, Editing, Orginal Score, Special Visual Effects, Casting. That's a solid haul. They must have thought it was one of those movies that directed itself

They sure loved Another Round... wonder if Mikkelsen can pull a Bardem 2010 and get in with just BAFTA.

But yeah, the rest is there. A bit of a weird mix without Lee in Direction.

Not even had the other guilds yet (PGA, DGA, WGA, etc.)

I hope having Morfydd Clark and Jennifer Ehle on the lists gets them in bc they are likely the best in their categories. Looking at those 15 Supp Actors, I'd have to check but could be a WOAT year for the category . Someone I thought might've been a surprise was Orion Lee or Toby Jones/First Cow but nope.

I hope having Morfydd Clark and Jennifer Ehle on the lists gets them in bc they are likely the best in their categories. It's funny, when I talk about performances I'm always talking about how "close" they are but when you see 15 names listed per category I don't even think twice that Clark, Ehle and Hopkins blow away their respective fields to me. That's how much I love those 3 performances....... 3 Brits out of 4 categories........they're laughing at America dammit. Fncking redcoats!

If you follow his career (I do!) he gets shaded some funny ways at times - BAFTA nominating John Thaw for Cry Freedom........Oscar nominating Ruby Dee for American Gangster........BAFTA awarding Viola Davis the win............he was left out of a nomination for all 3 .......some people blame me for this too, but this is also, not my fault.

Best Actor seems pretty much over. Chadwick Boseman just won Actor Of The Year at the London Film Critics Circle, so that bodes well for him at BAFTA.
Riz Ahmed wins British/Irish Actor Of The Year, so I'm guessing he will be the default British pick at BAFTA, if they don't give it to Boseman.
