When it comes to the Globes, aren't foreign films ineligible for Best Picture?? Yes but I don't think they are ineligible for other categories, yet Youn missed and Jodie Foster got in out of absolutely nowhere. Huppert and Cotillard both have won before. Oh I know they are eligible for the acting categories, but Pup was talking specifically about BP.

He's talking about the movies. Those are some of the most critically acclaimed and high profile films of the year (more acclaimed than most in the drama line-up including Mank and The Trial Of The Chicago 7) so them all missing out on BP nods is a bad look. You can add Minari to that as well. If ever there was a year minority led cast films should have been expected to dominate BP line-ups, it's this year. When it comes to the Globes, aren't foreign films ineligible for Best Picture?? Minari is an American film by an American director, but the Globes classified it as foreign because it's mostly dialogue in Korean. There was a lot of controversy over it's placement. But yeah, I forgot they classed it as a foreign movie. Not sure about ineligiblity for BP though.

Paul Raci Yeah this hurts a lot. And he got shafted only to nominate Jared Leto

So, so, so happy for Helena Zengel. Same. Really hope she can score an Oscar nom. She was the best thing about NotW.

Paul Raci Raci doesn't need the Globes. I mean it's not like Jared Leto is now a significant threat. If anyone took hits it's Rylance and Boseman.

Looking over the nominations and I noticed Mank got *6* nominations. Impressive. I'm not sure if it will be favored in any of the categories come later this month, but for right now it looks pretty good.

Meh, I loved Lindo but hate the .gif , and the movie itself has been overperforming in critics awards (it's just not THAT good, or doesn't resolve well which is typical for Lee's career)..............it is a little cosmic payback for one time, I'm sure it will do great at the Oscars..........maybe even over-perform there...... Cosmic payback for what? That it did well with critics. Boy you must really hate Lee don't you? Sort of, I mean at my age you start to regret filmmakers who eat up HOURS of your life you'll never get back .........now having said that I think Da 5 Bloods was one of his better movies - better than Blackkklansman imo and I gave it a slight thumbs up, thought Lindo was legit great. Cosmic payback sounds just about right though .......not sure what you want from me......shrug......

thrilled for Promising Young Woman! Mulligan was a lock but BP, BD and Screenplay nods are HUGE for Fennell. Really hope she gets an BD Oscar nom.

He put in that campaigning work It was a fun performance. I don't begrudge him a nod. Golden Globes can be random as fuck when they want to be, so this totally fits their style. Not gonna lie, this is my favorite nomination ever. People are melting down. How's the trunk space?

Paul Raci Raci doesn't need the Globes. I mean it's not like Jared Leto is now a significant threat. If anyone took hits it's Rylance and Boseman. Because of the way number one votes are the most important thing for Oscar nominations, I do think Raci can still get in, but I do wish he would have got a Globe nomination as that would have made me feel better that his movie is being seen and that he’s being taken seriously by the televised awards. Plus needless to say he deserved it over way more than Leto.

The Regina King nomination is clearly only for quota reasons, she didn't have passion to get in any other category. And you wonder why you were banned from AwardsWorthy
