LOL at their golden child Clooney placing here. They always come through for him and Eastwood. They are legit ride or die for both.

Waaaay more inspired than usual. I thought The Trial of the Chicago 7 would’ve been NBR catnip. Mank, Ma Rainey and One Night in Miami... all missing is also weird.
Feeling more confident in Minari, Promising Young Woman and Sound of Metal hitting BP now, but maybe it’s just wishful thinking.

The sun always rises in the East, the Bills never win the Super Bowl, Scully never believes Mulder, and NBR will recognize Clooney/Eastwood if they have a film out. These are the facts of life. I love The X-Files but I always chuckle at how Scully saw so much strange shit throughout the seasons and then in Season 6 Mulder would posit a theory involving something paranormal and Scully would be like "I have a hard time believing that Mulder with the science" when everything in the previous 5 seasons has upended that..lol. Only thing less believable than that is two attractive single people that work together every day have a platonic relationship for 7 seasons before they get together. Speaking of X-Files, this may be one of the best videos ever. Favorite show of all-time.

Funny how La Llorona keeps scoring critics awards, probably the 2nd most awarded one after Another Round (as many foreign language film winners aren't their country's submissions and many bodies chose Minari), yet on prediction sites it's still placed like 11th or something behind the Swiss and the French submissions that barely have a wikipedia page in English. If that's not good ol' racism at work I don't know what is.

If that's not good ol' racism at work I don't know what is. I wonder how much of it might be because of the really awful Curse of La Llorona, which might put a lot of people off from bothering to actually watch it. Anecdotally, I know a few people who weren't interested at all in watching La Llorona because of the association with the Conjuring spinoff.
