As wild and entertaining as these four years have been, I'm glad to see that the Trump Era is (very probably) coming to an end. well 69 million (and counting) people voted for him so I wouldn't be so sure. The biggest failure of the dems this cycle is that the presidential race was even close in the middle of a pandemic that's killed hundreds of thousands of American citizens. 69 million didn't care and voted for him anyways. 69 million Americans voted for fascism and nationalism. Him leaving isn't going to take that away or repair the irrevocable damage he's done to our culture & democracy.

This is fucking disgusting and highly dangerous but not at all surprising. Like his deranged Father said to his deranged cult in the first presidential “debate”....”Stand back and stand by”.

I can't believe people actually voted in this trash of a family in the first place. There is a reason why you should never invite your drunk ass uncle to the BBQ that is always upsetting people. This is that reason, the bullshit never ends.

meanwhile, while Trump is embarrassing himself on live TV, his lead in Georgia has diminished to 3635 votes.

He’s right about how our country is broken beyond repair regardless of this outcome tho. Thing is that it’s not strictly because of trump, our state has been deteriorating continuously since it’s founding. Trump was just the black swan. Think of it how the stock market crashed earlier in the year during the pandemic. The pandemic itself didn’t bring down the stock market, the structural failures were already there for years. Coronavirus was just the perfectly timed black swan event that gave them an excuse for more bailouts

His speech tonight was just the cultivation of 4 years worth of increasingly disingenuous conspiracy theories and now he's reached a point where he cannot lie his way out of it anymore. He could have retained a modicum of dignity and left office having a successful post-presidency, but this last stand has truly soured that probably more than anything he's ever done. That just about every single news outlet instantly lambasted his allegations, some even interrupting, was so satisfying. The GOP have totally abandoned ship.

Absolutely golden opportunity to discard trump like a used condom. It’s all about optics at this point and the GOP knows they’re actually not in a bad spot rn

Yeah, they already got what they wanted from him- lots of judges, including three SC, a few more chances for plutocrats to make money, and in the White House now they'll have someone who is not too far in the left and will probably not run in 2024, and even have a shot at keeping the Senate. I expect McConnell and FOX News to recognize Biden's victory as soon as it is confirmed.
