#76Three Colors: White (Kielowski, 1994)
sorry, this movie wouldn't save #75Toy Story 2(John Lasseter, 1999)
urbanpatrician says: one of the least impressive Pixar efforts, imo. It's not bad, but don't think there's much here you can't get from the sequels that come after, including this borrowed time/days are numbered theme that kinda runs through the next 2 films as well. At least Toy Story 4 had the bo peep story which is one of my favorites of this series. #74The Blair Witch Project(Eduardo Sánchez, Daniel Myrick, 1999) urbanpatrician says: Nice Haxan horror tale. 1999 was THE year. It might've been the most talked about film in 1999, but there's just too many highlights in the year overall tho that I sometimes forget this.

*resisting the urge to make petty complaints about the format* ... um, happy to see Perfect Blue and After Life here! Didn't vote for Crash but that's a cool choice too.

#73American History X(Tony Kaye, 1998)
urbanpatrician says: Norton aside, forget this.... #72La Belle Noiseuse(Jacques Rivette, 1991) urbanpatrician says: Really don't remember anything aside from Beart naked the whole movie. The film that I remember as 20 long nude scenes more than any other movie, lol. #71The Last of the Mohicans (Michael Mann, 1992)
urbanpatrician says: beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I can't let it go everytime I catch it on TV. I have to see it till the end.

#70Leon(Luc Besson, 1994)
urbanpatrician says: Oldman aside.... the rest is watchable, but that's about all I'll say. #69Twelve Monkeys(Terry Gilliam, 1995)
urbanpatrician says: a movie I tend to often forget. Need to rewatch. #68Glengarry Glen Ross(James Foley, 1992)
urbanpatrician says: it's decent, but don't think it's anything really that special, imo. I get it's part of the Pacino canon, and it might have a similar kind of appeal as All About Eve with the biting acid dialogue tho.

Glengarry Glen Ross at 68 is too low imo - I mean there is no movie that is better acted or cast than that one is.....and it's one of the great stage to screen adaptations ever.....didn't quite make my list but just on an acting level it's amazing.....

#64 Wild at Heart (David Lynch, 1990) urbanpatrician says: fun movie. felt kinda Elvis/Viva Las Vegas like.79 points. 7 ballots. Highest placing #7 (on 2 people's lists) #63Leaving Las Vegas (Mike Figgis, 1995)
urbanpatrician says: Love it. Some bad dialogue aside, there's nothing like a trip down a blues soaked and sad lovers Las Vegas. Las Vegas was truly the place to be in 1995.... if Showgirls and Casino doesn't prove that enough.
80 points. 5 ballots. Highest placing #5 (on 1 person's list) #62Ed Wood (Tim Burton, 1994)
urbanpatrician says: One of my favorites, if not my favorite from Burton. Tons of delight. I can see Mank being compared to this for years. 81 points. 9 ballots. Highest placing #8 (on 1 person's list)

Las Vegas together with Wild at Heart is awesome. LLV beating it by one point, even better. Also... I feel like Trees Lounge never had a shot but cheers anyway.

Life is Sweet gonna outrank Naked? or not place? The old IMDb boards would've had Naked in the Top 25.

Some good and some bad. Naked is the closest thing to 90s Dostoyevksi. Love it. Good Will Hunting features the least believable "creative genius" I've ever seen

Tell whoever ranked this at #3 that they're a little old fashioned!!!! and have good taste! (didn't make my list but it's quite a stunning movie and underrated in Scorsese filmog)

#55
Braveheart (Mel Gibson, 1995) urbanpatrician says: The less said about this movie, the better for me. I see it more like Shakespeare in Love and Dances With Wolves than Unforgiven and Amadeus.96 points. 6 ballots. Highest placing #3 (on 1 person's list) #54La Haine (Mathieu Kassovitz, 1995)
urbanpatrician says: I think I saw 30 minutes of this at school once, and was like.... "I gotta go." Never saw it again.97 points. 7 ballots. Highest placing #2 (on 1 person's list) #53 The Straight Story (David Lynch, 1999)
urbanpatrician says: Nice simple little weepie, but I don't really care that much for it. Disagree with above reviewer that it's an Americana tale tho.... nah.98 points. 7 ballots. Highest placing #4 (on 1 person's list)
