I hoped Schindler's List, LA Conf but mainly Godfather II, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly and Gone With The Wind would make it in the top-20.

Tess, Spirit of the Beehive were around Top 5s for me, they have astonishingly hauntingly beautiful visuals. American Friend, Blow Out also made it very high for me , personally obsessed with the looks of those.
Stalker made it on 5 more ballots than Rublev - wow. Lotta fascinating picks so far

Doyle was on a near legendary streak from 2000-2004. Used to go on forums in the early 00s and hear the endless sycophancy of that dude's work.
In the Mood for Love, Hero, and 2046 are dazzling in display. Along with Fallen Angels, I think that's his 4 best works.

I bumped Matewan down to #20 on my ballot because I didn't think it had much of a chance. Almost none of these gifs are loading for me btw.

Almost none of these gifs are loading for me btw. Curious if anyone else is having this problem... I tested with Lubezki and we think it has to do with individual connection speed. Sometimes they load immediately for me, sometimes not... usually if I give it a minute though, they load fine.

Don't care for Perdition - but wanna recommend some amazing Conrad Halls: The Outer Limits episode 'The Forms of Things Unknown' is insanely well shot. Electra Glide in Blue is really clever in how it connects and contrasts its visuals. Fat City has a special dusty grit to it. Black Widow he is the MVP, really pulpy interesting use of color/lighting.
