Social Network is another movie that's brilliantly made (one of Fincher's best directorial efforts, and that's saying a lot). However, it kinda leaves me cold. I greatly admire its intelligence and the craft on display, but I don't really get anything out of it from an emotional standpoint, and so it never lingered in my mind very long.
Not a bad #1, though, all things considered.

I was definitely hoping for a more inspired list, but it's alright
And yeah, great presentation by DeepArcher. Well done, man

how cool is it that our #1 pick for the decade came out at the beginning of it...
TSN didn't make my ballot but you can't deny how prescient it was in anticipating the social media-driven age we live in. I actually should see it again. I think it'll probably only get better (and scarier/sadder) with age.

Disappointed with the number 1 pick but still a wonderful presentation overall. Thanks a lot DeepArcher

The top 25 redeemed the deep valley of 26-50. Everything before that was pretty great, but *ouch* for that segment.

From the top 6, only Parasite would have made it for me. The other 5 are good but not top tier. TSN at #1???

Great job, DA! At this point, I might as well rewatch The Social Network for, what, the tenth time. Every time I watch it, I love it more.

Wow damn! Didn't expect The Social Network to get #1. That too by such a narrow margin (only 6 points). It's not my #1 of the decade by a long shot but it's still an absolutely fantastic film and I'm happy to see it win.

all of our complaining aside, we need to collectively acknowledge DeepArcher's baller presentation and commitment to this poll, and that he got people who loved the films enough to sit down and put their love into words (100 reviews, that's insane). And we can disagree about the choices but at the end of the day that shared love of cinema is the reason we're all here. That's really fucking special. thanks to DeepArcher and thanks to everyone who submitted reviews. Y'all are the best!

Also, fun fact: if Billy_Costigan had forgotten to submit a ballot like he thought he did, Parasite would have won by one point. I'm deadly serious.

I would say the biggest omission on the list is Uncle Boonmee. Really kind of a travesty it didn't get it, not sure if enough people still haven't seen it or not.
I had Brooklyn on the lower end of my list and was expecting it to get in somewhere so that is also disappointing. It's better than Little Women and Lady Bird.
A Separation being so high was definitely the most pleasant surprise.

Thank you for the presentation DeepArcher! It was really exciting to watch it all unfold, though it's bit of a bummer that some of my personal favourites didn't make it. Also thank you for giving me the opportunity to write about Parasite. Still feels weird that I was the one chosen for it, but I'm nonetheless glad for the opportunity.
