Fury Road is my second favourite straight-up action film of all time. Pretty awesome to see it reach the top 3. Also an amazing review by stephen.

I love Parasite a helluva a lot, even if this sorta praise is a little overblown.
Still, it would have been a much better #1 choice than the actual one.

Wait, TSN won?
I never suspected that this would happen. Not for one moment. I was 100% certain that this belonged to Parasite.

I absolutely love this Top 3.
Y’all should still feel the shame of not voting First Man into the list but the Top 3 is just perfect.

Can't heap any more praise on Parasite than I already have. Wish it could have hit #1, but incredible it got second place less than a year after release. I reckon, do this again in ten years time, and it might clinch that top spot.

Can't say I agree with some of the results, but that was pretty fun. Excellent work, Mr. Manager! Thank you so much for doing this.

The Social Network is one of Fincher's better films, but that doesn't say much.

Great top 10! Wish it was a little more controversial, but I like all the choices made.

Social Network was in my top ten and not no. 1, but even if you don't like it it's kind of hard to dispute its "movie of the decade" status. Rooney Mara's "As if every thought that tumbles through your head was so clever it would be a crime for it not to be shared" speech makes me think of everyone on Twitter these days and whatever the kids are doing on TicTok.

Very different from my list of course, and as others have said I don't love the mainstream canon of the 2010s, but this was fun. Thanks for putting this together DeepArcher!

Fuckin wow... was not expecting The Social Network to take it. Such a sublime top 2. And an absolute fucking BRAVO to DeepArcher for a brilliant presentation. The quotes, the gifs, the gathering of the reviews (shoutout to every one of them too).... one hell of an undertaking and it all flowed flawlessly. This felt like the biggest event we've had on here in a long time.

So, I've never been in love with The Social Network. It's a fine film for the most part and some of the production elements are really great. It has one damn fine performance from Eisenberg, and a quite good script, although it not without its flaws. Something about it has always left me rather cold though.

So, yeah. The Social Network beat out Parasite by *six points* for the top spot. The first #1 film we had after the first ballot (stephen’s) was Drive. After the second ballot (countjohn’s) was submitted, The Master became the new #1. For the next 15 to 20 ballots, the #1 film went back-and-forth between The Master and Mad Max: Fury Road seemingly every other ballot I received, before Parasite eventually took the top spot by a narrow margin. The Social Network was a consistent #6 until we hit about 30 ballots and I started vote-begging -- after getting an influx of ballots from people I tagged, The Social Network got its six #1 placements and started to appear highly-ranked on nearly every ballot I received, and then surged ahead as the leading film. Parasite almost closed the gap in the end … but came up six points shy. I do think in general voters showed a bit more favoritism towards the earlier part of the decade than the later part, especially when it came to their highest placements -- it was ultimately the difference in those #1 votes that really made The Social Network hard to catch. I think if we did this in five to ten years from now, Parasite would take the win, but that’s just a hunch. In a way, though, it’s kinda appropriate that Parasite narrowly loses to the film about the billionaire who founded one of the largest corporations in the world. That’s the cinema of the 2010s for ya. Also, fun fact: if Billy_Costigan had forgotten to submit a ballot like he thought he did, Parasite would have won by one point. I'm deadly serious.
