I like how I can't really tell if this is a scene or the GOAT is just really excited to see Lady Gaga and Adam Driver.

You got Gaga, Pacino, closer look at Leto, and Jack Huston too (who, what, last week was working with De Niro in Puerto Rico, he's GOAT-hopping!) Why didn't they just hire Jeffrey Tambor? LMAO.

Random thought: Pacino usually aces as tan-suited. Corleone, Scarface, the great Miami scene in The Irishman. And if Leto is accented, as his father he should be too, no?
Also today's apparent scene is a good one - Pacino's Aldo cajoling/coercing Leto and Driver into a rugby match, with guys clearly younger than them. Does he want them to fight or fail?
Also just came across this interesting Aldo quote: "Elegance is like manners. You can’t be polite only on Wednesday or Thursday. If you are elegant, you should be every day of the week. If you are not, then it’s another matter."

He also looks like James Garner in this photos.

Sorry I had to do some work for my job and went out for 10 minutes to get a coffee so I couldn't update this since there's a new photo every 5 minutes apparently

If I put all together the billions pictures we are getting every hours, everydays, I feel like I could create and release the silent version of this movie before Sir Ridley.

I’ve seen people make gifs on all the photos that are out there, and it really is like watching an old silent movie except being in color. I’ve also seen people Twitter say that it feels like they’ve seen the whole movie already, but I’m sure there’s a lot of indoor footage as well. ETA:

I mean, the story of Patrizia and Maurizio's relationship is known, one just needs to look for it online. If it was an original story, I'm sure the security around this production would have been much tighter.

For pacinoyes , if you don’t mind spoilers; although there’s no audio.
[\spoiler]
Don’t want to jinx him because it all depends on the writing, but I’m very excited at the awards prospects for Pacino and Gaga so far. It looks like Driver is getting a lot of neat material in the beginning when he falls for Patrizia and when his father dies, but not sure that will be enough when he’s got Annette and The Last Duel. Three acting nominations is doable, but Scott hasn’t really had that kind of success for awhile. Although again not to jinx this, I don’t think he’s ever had a film create this level of excitement so early on even with big stars like Leo, Denzel, or Crowe.

For pacinoyes , if you don’t mind spoilers; although there’s no audio What's kind of funny is afaik no one has this script online so there's a bit of mystery about the project in a way - and I mean in the way aside from photos leaking every day . It's hard to know when this story cuts off I mean Driver could go through the whole filmed arc - or how far back it goes to begin (to when they're dating?). I could see Leto being bigger than Al in how the story is done since he outlived both the Pacino & Driver characters slightly irl -........... and there's still missing casting of female roles (wtf!) so I could see us seeing this and saying "why didn't the story go in another way and focus on ____________?" too.......and how Irons fits in also. That clip was awesome though and suggests maybe a closeness between characters I mean that I wasn't sure of .......

Thank God, I thought maybe she was done with costume changes or the set leaks were tightened or something awful like that......... but alas........no! Wearing a fur AND red with red shoes too!?!? I mean she might as well be wearing a sign that says "Guilty Murderess"

ETA: I guess she’s playing Sophia Loren. (Or rather has a cameo as Loren.)

I know Ridley works fast, but knowing that he's got The Last Duel coming out this year, do we think this gets a 2022 bow? Because I think we're looking at a Costume Design frontrunner right now. Even though they eschew contemporary costuming for the most part, this is a movie about the house of fucking Gucci -- the costumes are front and center.

Even though they eschew contemporary costuming for the most part, this is a movie about the house of fucking Gucci -- the costumes are front and center. I don’t know I guess they could do that, but I think as long as Ridley can get it done on time for this November as scheduled that it’s best to drop it this year because there’s so much interest in this right now. I know this year is really competitive, at least on paper, because of everything that was delayed from last year, but I agree that this has to be the Costume Design frontrunner right now even with competition from other period films. I also think it should do well in makeup and hairstyling, and at least be in serious contention for a nomination for Production Design. Also while there are a lot of biopics contenting for Best Actress, and Gaga isn’t exactly sympathetic like a Princess Diana or Marilyn Monroe, she just seems to have so much material, and it feels so far they’re staying true to the story that I have faith at the moment that she can get a second acting nomination especially as Patrizia is so different from Ally. Not sure about other above the line categories. Driver has two other projects, which could be a factor in what category he’s campaigned in for this, but I imagine that if this is well received that they’ll want to maximize acting nominations by pushing him lead and Pacino, Leto, and Irons, likely in that order Supporting. If it’s a big hit, that should help it in Best Picture. Scott seems to have a lot of competition in Director (both Andersons, del Toro, Coen, etc.), so I don’t know about that happening. If TLD were also well received that would certainly help, but I think that’s unlikely given Scott’s uneven track record.

If TLD were also well received that would certainly help, but I think that’s unlikely given Scott’s uneven track record. Ridley's doubled-down in releasing two films in a given year (2001, 2017), but those are usually a case of one prestige project and one genre flick. This is different. We've got The Last Duel, a historical epic with A-list talent that is sure to be an awards player (YMMV on whether it succeeds, based on the set pix), but we've also got The House of Gucci, a historical true-crime story that is also sure to be an awards player. To promote both in a given year might be a lot to ask for Scott, especially as there might be a lot of cross-contamination with his two projects competing against each other in various categories. I think the wise move is to push Gucci to 2022, because 2021 is looking dense as it is with all the major films of 2020 having been pushed already.

There’s some of your favorite too. (He looks good in these costumes too. That's kind of you to say morton but honestly I prefer to think of him rather as "America's favorite" and possibly with the challenge of some COBBLER HACK named Daniel Day-Lewis possibly the world's favorite. Um..........kidding.......kidding I'd say If this goes to 2022 I think we can infer it's an f'n disasterpiece - if they play with that date at all it suggests a total 180 lack of faith on the studio's part: they locked into Nov 24, 2021, big location shooting during difficult conditions for a while now - sight unseen at least and went all in - a month away from The Last Duel's Oct 15th date too. I think from these photos we can infer something of the plot relative to what Leto said it being about "sibling rivalry" or rather "family rivalry" beyond just his role - where everyone plays sides against someone else - Leto vs. Driver, Leto vs. Pacino, Pacino & Gaga vs. Driver. It appears Pacino and Gaga have at least a couple of notable scenes - I don't get the vibe those are brief or the only ones even (?) - and you'd have to think that Pacino has at least 1 or maybe 2 each with Irons, Driver, Leto so he's likely not getting that "extended cameo" thing that he got in OUATIH. Meanwhile STILL awaiting more casting (!?!), - this may be a big week on that since they are in Rome - that Loren character cameo is unexpected and quirky and awesome - and they've added Patrizia's/Maurizio's adult daughter character (Alessandra) to the cast list also.......the trailer for this will be an event I reckon...................................... and at this rate they actually are kind of late with that, huh?

Basically all the actors in House Of Gucci have potential Oscar parts, not just Gaga and Driver, but also Pacino and Leto.

That's what i've been saying for all this time, they can't release both Last Duel and Gucci in the same year, and only one month apart, one of those two movies is going to move.
2021: The Last Duel 2022: House of Gucci 2023: Kitbag

He's going to wrap this filming in about 3 weeks - he can easily do it, the demand is pretty overwhelming for it and House of Gucci is the bigger film with bigger prospects in every way......unless it sucks I mean .........and The Last Duel has already been moved before.......if I had to bet I'd say it's going to happen exactly as planned - it's far more likely to be both films within a month rather than they "can't" do it tbh. The only reason to move Gucci is if the film itself is a dud.......

I don't get why they couldn't be released at the same time, even. It would only build Ridley's narrative for Best Director.
