Really pisses me off that JAX was the one fucking city to comply with the fucking curfews. All the other cities are breaking it but of course it’s fucking Jacksonville that goes home when told. They brought in everything for a couple dozen peaceful protesters at the courthouse who were literally just sitting on the steps of the courthouse. Thing is Mayor Curry is DeSantis’s butt buddy, who in turn is Trump’s butt buddy. They’re trying to get the convention here in JAX now that it’s probably not gonna be in North Carolina. But you know what? That’s fine. Let them get the convention, but we’ll make Chicago ‘68 look like child’s play.

Also the nation’s capital is literally on fire and the Dow is currently tracking to open up about 100pts, but of course things can change between now and 9:30. Of course by that I mean, stocks tracking for an even higher opening. Futures were down 380 until the plunge protection team did its job.

People on this board are f'd up - I've been posting a ton of Spike Lee stuff for 2 weeks on his new movie and the African American experience and NOBODY - white, black, yellow, purple - has any thoughts on ANY of that? (Check Da 5 Bloods thread)......then John Cusack's provocative video ......crickets - we do get one person who just re-posts the same exact video I did after posting the same exact Denzel Washington hero story I posted days before.....LMAO.
How is this board not as bad on race as what we're criticizing if Black American stories get no reaction at all?

A lot of them start off as protests and then turn into full-blown riots. Antifa are being blamed by the alt-right for being agitators. |

So many white Americans refuse to admit that there is a problem - they will not put themselves in a black person's shoes and consider that the American experience is not the same for everyone. The German people acknowledge and confront their past, and they are a much healthier nation because of it. The laws may be different, but the attitudes for many are still the same - especially when you consider that the president of the United States has recently advocated for "shooting" and setting "vicious dogs" on protesters - as if its Alabama in the 60s.  I mean, is it possible to be more ignorant of American history? Americans can and must do better. |
