a few things:
1. I'm going to keep this open several more days while more people trickle in before harassing folks, BUT we are going to need another team captain. I know people are busy this year but the show won't go on if we can't get another team captain (and if more than 16 sign up, we're going to need a third team captain). We have some time to figure it out because October is empty minus the Gotham nods, and who cares about the Gothams.
2. Per the updated OP, the following awards were removed from the pool: Austin, Central Ohio, Cinephile, Cinema Eye, Detroit, ICCs, Pheonix, St. Louis, Vancouver, Washington. We went based on seniority, so everything pre-200 got the boot. They can always be re-added next year if team captains want the extra pain.
3. Depending on how soon we can get teams set up with drafts, we might not be ready in time for the Gotham nominees on October 24th so be prepared for that.

I‘ve considered Captain position, but with how hectic my life’s been recently, I don’t know if I’d be able to keep up. But, if anyone’ll have me as a co-captain, I’ll gladly jump at the chance.

We need ONE MORE volunteer to have two teams of 8. Also, Ryan_MYeah has offered to be a co-caption for Team 2 so if someone wants to step up and meet him halfway and be his partner in crime, that'd be swell. You could divide the work in half. If we can get one more participant and one more co-captain, we can get this shit rolling. I want to start sooner rather than later because the T is that if more people come in we'd need a third team and a third captain and finding team captains is harder than pulling teeth. This year it's first come, first serve. |

I'm gonna be traveling until next Tuesday. If someone could please step up to be a co-captain, that's literally all we need to get going. the roster: Tommen_Saperstein (captain, team 1) mhynson27 quetee @tepebenjamin Viced Ryan_MYeah (co-captain, team 2) stephen DeepArcher Pittsnogle_Goggins Martin Stett idioticbunny Lubezki bruinjoe96 cheesecake Pavan Sharbs and I think @raygittes07 wanted to play too so that would make it a total of 17 participants, so one team of 8 and one team of 9 (I'd be fine taking the extra person). We just ONE MORE VOLUNTEER to be a co-captain and coordinate with Ryan and we can start getting to the fun stuff. I'd like to have teams set by the end of the month (grouping would be random if that's ok with everyone) because it's going to take at least a week to figure out draft times. |
