Great job on the presentation Sharbs. List is really solid (can't disagree with The Favorite being #1), and I had a good time following it.

my favorite thing about this was that there weren't any ties in the top-10 even though the back half of it was so bunched together.
Again, thanks to everyone who voted and partook in the presentation. It took half the time it did last year, lol.

It's time for people to stop trying to convince themselves that Roma is a good movie.......... It's time for you to stop trying to convince yourself that you didn't woefully miss the boat on this masterpiece in a shamefully misguided fashion.

Thanks so much for doing this, Sharbs! Love the presentation, the use of our quotes was gold! Generally pleased with the results, happy to see most of my favorites place well with my top six all within the top final top 20 despite none of them being consensus favorites on here ... only disappointing absences for me are Transit and Minding the Gap, but alas, I think they may still be under-seen. Overall, good stuff!

whyyyyy do people like First Man so much? It's such a forgettable and basic character study that takes one aspect of Armstrong's life and blows it up to a one-note two-hour experience. Gosling's performance is dull and impenetrable because there's nothing there to latch onto. He's not a fully-formed human being, just a personification of emotionally isolated glumness. The score, editing and VFX are the only things about that film that have anything resembling a spark of life. For me it's two things: 1) because it's a truly visceral, first-person POV dramatization of one of the most extraordinary achievements in history 2) because it does away with the traditional heroic American biopic tone and turns it into a rumination on grief so immensely devastating that even a cosmic journey isn't powerful enough to heal it And I really can't share your view of Gosling in it. The love for his daughter and the loss of her is in his performance throughout the whole film and throughout every scene, it's as powerful a hook as can be, in my view. Of course I understand that you didn't have those same feelings but this is a take from someone who did find it a very moving experience and Chazelle's most mature work to date.

Sharbs, this is an incredible presentation!!! So glad I participated in this, and very happy to see Suspiria and Shadow make it to the list! I am slightly shocked by Hereditary's placement though

Great job and I definitely loved the presentation! I'm not a fan of the results though. Several films (An Elephant Sitting Still, Shadow, The House That Jack Built) are way too low on the list and I'm very disappointed that Ceylan's masterpiece The Wild Pear Tree couldn't make it in there (am I the only one that voted for it?). I'm pleasantly surprised that High Life managed to enter the top 20 though.

Thanks for the good work, Sharbs. I like the final result, I voted for the Favourite (although I can't see my name). Bad Times at the El Royale out of the top-10. That's good.

So, my usual posting as I read it and I'm really late to the party this time.
That Top 10 is a hell of a mixed bag. I dislike or hate 4 of them, and the other six range from great to an all-timer.
I've only see 38/50, with 125 films seen . Sometimes loving film is hard work.
for the hard work Sharbs and anyone else who helped with this.

Nice presentation Sharbs Quotes from members is a cool idea (take notes people), although i'm a bit jealous not a single one of mine made it yeah, I tried so hard to include as many frequent posters as possible, but it got to a point where I had to just include the first great quote I saw.
