So? Stone are Weisz are previous winners. Neither of them are winning because they're gonna split The Favourite vote.Oh you mean like that time when Catherine Zeta-Jones defeated (with SAG + BAFTA + OSCAR wins) Queen Latifah for CHICAGO ? I doubt it's happening this year but never say never . Zeta Jones was in lead against Zellweger at the Globes you dozy wench and she was the obvious choice over Queen Latifah.

I was simply pointing out that sometimes the Academy doesn't give a rat's ass about vote splits.another examples : Jessica Lange defeating Terri Garr for Tootsie, Shirley MacLaine VS Debra Winger for Terms Of Endearment or Peter Finch VS William Holden for Network. So Weisz defeating Stone would hardly be considered as something out of the ordinary.

Just because she has been snubbed for Sag and Bafta doesn't mean it's all over. She's clearly the big favourite so far. You can been be nominated for a GG, sag,CC and Bafta and still be snubbed by the Academy in the end : Tilda Swinton / We need to talk about kevin.

That's why I said she "could be" snubbed. Not she "will be" snubbed. The reality is SAG and BAFTA voters overlap with Academy voters a lot more than HFPA (and BFCA but they barely count) voters do, and they clearly liked Amy Adams, Emma Stone, Rachel Weisz, and even Claire Foy, Margot Robbie and Emily Blunt more than they like Regina King. People don't seem to remember that Beale Street's screenplay is nominated at the BAFTAs, which shows that they did not overlook the film; they just didn't like Regina King enough to even nominate her. It could be the same for Academy voters.
