Never has a director been so carefully avoided. Hilarious!

The HAFPA can go fuck themselves. The worst set of film winners... Green Book and Bohemian Rhapsody? Jesus fucking Christ.

So, we’re not taking most of this night seriously, right? We don’t honestly believe BR is winning BP?

This has got to be one of the most unpredictable shows in quite some time. It started off bleech (thank god the hosts were seen less as the jokes were just awful) but it gained steam and never let up. And yes the Brits had the best speeches of the night except for Glenn who had me in some serious tears. Time to take my dog out to pee.

Lady Gaga is devastated. She was holding back when she won Song just so she could drop that patented "100 people in a room" speech for Best Actress.

This is the ideal scenario for Roma.
Bohemian Rhapsody and Green Book will face tremendous backlash in the coming weeks.
Nobody seems to love A Star is Born, not even the friggin Globes.
Black Panther may win PGA but it's not winning at the Oscars.
Sticking with Roma here.

I don't know what's funnier... the Bears hitting the goal post or Bohemian Rhapsody winning BP.

I don't see it at all. It's not unprecedented for an actor to win in a sole nomination for their film, but it doesn't help either, especially going against an awards juggernaut like The Favourite. Close's win tonight was a shocking upset but I think there's a reason most of us didn't see it coming and I don't think it's an upset she'll be able to replicate. The odds definitely favor Colman right now. Honestly if any category is locked it's lead actress right now. Glenn Close is SO winning. She's the Julianne Moore of this year. Julianne Moore wasn't going up against a showy performance in a film with 10 nominations.

Glenn Close is winning the Oscar now. I mean... was she ever not? She hasn't won yet, man. Settle down. The critical favo(u)rite of the year won tonight as well, and is likely winning BAFTA. Close did well to knock Gaga down a peg, and SAG is very much in play, but there's still a lot of race to be run.

So, we’re not taking most of this night seriously, right? We don’t honestly believe BR is winning BP? no, but we were expecting the race to become a little clearer. Green Book and Bohemian Rhapsody winning just means the whole thing is still very much in the air and raises so many question, like how big a hit the frontrunners took tonight if at all.

That's all that happened tonight.
