Which film are you more excited for. I'm leaning towards the Irishman because of the first Scorsese/Pacino pairing.

The Irishman, but I do feel like I'm getting more excited about OUATIH with each passing day...

For me it boils down to Scorsese or Tarantino and I'm anticipating Marty's quite handily

Scorsese-Pacino pairing is something i've waited a long time to happen but the film itself doesn't seem interesting. QT film on other hand has excellent cast and an interesting subject matter. I'm leaning towards QT now.

Neither. Genuinely not a fan of either of these two's work.

Probably Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, but I'm honestly not that excited for either of them yet. If ever you had two directors whose films people get way to over excited about, these are probably the two.

Scorsese over Tarantino every time. This. I don't see how it could be any other way.

At this point, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I was hesitant about that even being a thing at first because Tarantino did not strike me as the type of director who would handle that particular subject matter intelligently or maturely. Now that more info has come out on what the movie will be like I've become gradually more and more interested. Also, it helps that Manson died. It's about time that happened. He just strikes me as the type of lunatic who would really get off on this sort of thing.
The Irishman feels like it should've been made fifteen years ago. I'm not saying it won't be good, especially because we're talking about Scorsese here (and his last movie was a knockout), but I'm definitely a little reserved in my excitement. Not to mention though that Scorsese is usually at his best when he's not making gangster films - Goodfellas the exception.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, mainly for the cast. The Irishman should be superb as well, though.

I have very little actual interest in the Tarantino project, as I feel like the material needs someone with a bit more of a level-headed maturity to treat it with the respect and dignity it deserves, which Tarantino has scarcely evinced. But with that said, I'm much more interested in that than I am in the Scorsese film, which I really don't give a shit about.

Neither, honestly.
Irishman came about 15-20 years too late and I have no faith in Tarantino to do true-life justice.

Well just as a Pacino fan and on thematic material, I know his role is significant in The Irishman and the character of Jimmy Hoffa, is one of the great characters in 20th century America and it has never been done right. That just is a different thing .....I mean there's more meat on that story.
On paper the Scorsese film actually affected how say my father lived, what he earned, where he lived, how my life went too - I mean thousands and thousands of Americans lives were affected by that story - you would be hard pressed to find another story like it, in ways you don't even see (i.e. the intersection of your day to day life, with organized crime, with the rise and fall of unions, etc.)

In reference to the people saying that Tarantino isn't mature enough to do the tragic true story justice, aren't the Manson murders like not the main focus at all in this. It's about an actor and his stuntman and is said to be in the vein of Pulp Fiction, I'm pretty sure he will focus on the murders for like 20 minutes max.

I prefer Scorsese generally, but Once Upon a Time in Hollywood sounds more interesting to me rn. Very hyped for both.

I'm greatly excited to see "The Irishman" with that great cast and with Scorsese saying that it'll be a tad different from his other crime films because it's more about getting older and about how time shapes you and your relationship to your past and all that.
But with all that in mind, it still kinda seems like it'll be about Marty returning to territory he's explored in great detail before. "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" sounds more fresh to me, and I'm incredibly excited to see Tarantino do a movie about the world of movies. He's spoken in great length about his love for the cinema of that era and I'm insanely excited to see his take on that period.

OUATIH, since the 60's and Manson are fascinating topics and the cast never ceases to impress me. I'm also hyped about The Irishman, but the deaging CGI stuff worries me. I wish Scorsese would've just play it safe and cast younger actors in the younger roles, as the digital deaging technology so far usually seems a bit unconvincing.
